The jury convicted him. The judge sentenced him. Throughout, Frank Braswell maintained his innocence. Now, after 22 years in prison for murdering his wife, he's coming home. He wants to renew family bonds, he says. He wants to show his now-grown daughter he doesn't resent her testimony, he says. Just give him the "Benefit Of The Doubt." Donald Sutherland, whose wide-ranging performances include the comic (M*A*S*H), the dramatic ("Ordinary People") and the villainous (as a mad arsonist in "Backdraft") gives another performance of exquisitely calculated villainy as Braswell. Amy Irving (Yentl) portrays the daughter emotionally torn by the frightening yet hazy recall of long-ago events. And Graham Greene ("Dances With Wolves" plays the sheriff whose investigation leaves no room for doubt.
