Exactly what I was looking for! I've been searching for a leakproof stainless steel lunch box for my son who was about to start his preschool and none of the brands I considered met all of these simple (in my opinion) criterias. The only leakproof option was also Bentgo but it was BPA-free plastic. I almost gave up and was going to buy the one that was stainless steel but not leakproof when accidentally found out about this new product by Bentgo! I couldn't be happier! I also got a new Bentgo 2-in-1 backpack and lunch bag and am super happy with it too! It says that the lunch box is dishwasher safe but I'd still recommend to hand wash it and I'm sure it will last for many years!
This is a great lunch box. I love that the vessels are made of stainless steel rather than plastic. It's easy for my 3 year olds to open and close on their own. It fits the perfect amount of food for lunch.
My son really loves it and the color is really amazing and beautiful I like the container too. It's leak proof and it's privilege than Planetbox.
Bentgo's stainless steel lunch box has been a game changer! I love the size of the spaces in this box as it offers the ability to put a full sandwich or pasta lunch on the left side, fruits and veggies in the other spaces. The soft insert offers diversity too when I want to add additional munchables, yogurt, applesauce or granola that can be mixed with another area during lunch. I wish it was slightly deeper so the lid could close more comfortably with a bakery bagel ( Thomas bagels fit fine), however I still believe this is a five star lunch box. I plan to purchase another for my daughter, when and if our older Bengto lunch box wears out.
I'm glad I switched to stainless steel because I'm trying to cut out how many plastics we use, especially plastic used for food handling. One thing is that these bentgo are a bit too thin. My kids often take bagels to school and I have to squeeze and push to get it to shut with a bagel inside.
It's hard to open and too heavy . I choose this model because the rubber gasket of the plastic one I bought last year got melted (I don't know if because of dishwasher or hot food; anyway either of those were supposed to happen) but as mentioned before the metal is too heavy
I bought the stainless still lunchbox because I was looking for a safe container to put my children's food. The lunchbox itself is really cute and I love the bento box situation but, unfortunately the top coat is peeling off, and we have only had the lunchbox's for less than a month now, even when I hand wash them. For Thai reason I wouldn't recommend the product
Bought this in May and used it occasionally, always handwashing afterwards. Now that the school year is in I figured I would use the dishwasher as the lunch kit says “Dishwasher safe” on the back. Well the front sticker has lifted and torn, it looks terrible and now I have a sad little girl.
They were almost impossible to get opened. Once I did get them open, it was a little bit easier, but my three-year-old was not able to do it. I returned them. I am a huge fan of all of the plastic snack and lunch boxes which are 100% three year-old friendly
I'm really disappointed with my bentgo because all the pain is coming out every time I need to pull out the tapes date the teachers put on the lunchbox. It's so fragile.
