I bought several salad containers to pack work lunches. I was concerned they would be too small, because I make some pretty decent sized salads. I was pleasantly surprised, the bowl is deep and holds (for me) a full size meal/salad. In the past, I disliked packing (or eating prepackaged) salad for lunch because the protein/toppings are on top of the greens, everything gets mixed in transit, add the dressing and then .. Stir, shake...? It doesn't work well - I end up with dressing gooped on my protein, naked greens, soggy croutons. For me, this bowl solves the lunch salad hassle. Toppings stay separated from greens, and when you take the divider tray out, you can dress the greens - there is still room to mix /toss lightly with the fork because the bowl is so deep. Then I add my toppings, it's perfect. The dressing container holds a lot - I usually don't fill it, but it holds so much you could use half on the greens and dump the rest on top if you like heavy dressing. The sectioned insert holds my toppings without mixing dry and wet. The two salads I prepped tonight are in the pics. Yes, that is 8 oz chicken, fitting easily, (although I do press it down and take pack it in there.) Other reviews have mentioned to be gentle with the lids' closing mechanism, but I will too: I was a little overzealous stacking the green lid in the dishwasher, the clasp caught on the side when I pushed in the dishwasher rack. (last pic) It seems like it broke pretty easily when I was rough with the dishwasher, but I've been using this bowl twice a week for 6 months - I've even dropped the whole assembly, while it was full (onto cement, and it bounced,) but it didn't crack or break at all when I dropped it, so it's not super fragile either. I'm requesting a replacement lid, and it makes me so happy that Bentgo backs up their products I'm actually going to buy more bowls just like it. Very happy with these bowls!!
I bought this item recently in the marble blush color and I love it! I've been packing salads to work with me each day as I work in an office setting. This is a great way to meal prep and keep a healthy lifestyle. I also love the compartments, overall a great product.
Great for salads and lots more. My daughter takes her almost everyday.
Quality of the product is awesome. Been using them daily, clunking around in a thermal lunch bag with jars and thermoses, run through a dishwasher and don't show any wear. And the fork hasn't broke.
I purchased my salad bowl earlier in the year. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. . Everything in one place and it comes with a fork!! I have told everyone in my family and will tell everybody who sees me with it to do get one. What a concept, It's durable, pretty and goes with my iPad and case! Love it.
The dressing container is a little hard to open without spilling the dressing and I do wish it was a tad smaller but all in all it's good and serves it purpose.
Only complaints about this salad bowl are 1), the plastic cover for the fork doesn't stay on, 2) the sauce container lid was warped which bentgo easily and gladly replaced, and 3) I love the separate section but wish I could just use the lid on the salad bowl to shake up the salad and dressing. Very well constructed and easy to clean.
overall the product works as expected, however the size isn't suitable for a meal sized portion of salad. Would be fine if also bringing a sandwich or soup to accompany your salad.
I bought this in 2023 used it once. I used it today and flap to keep the top down broke. I'm glad I registered for the extended warranty. My coworkers warned me that this would happen. Also if the salad has any dressing in the container, it's leaks into my lunch bag.
Did not come with salad dressing container. Will have to return. It's sort of pointless with out…Seeing how it's supposed to be an “all in one container”. It's frustrating because it's takes time to go and return it when I already work so many hours, I'm just exhausted. And then you have to hope if you buy another one it will come with everything. I just wanted to take my joy draining salad to my crap job because I'm broke..
