This copter is very durable. As I was a beginner, I crashed it numerous times, it withstood the shock. The camera works very well and takes very nice videos. I recommend it to anyone who has never had a drone before. One tip I may add : Place a small piece of tape over the memory card in the camera to keep the card from falling out.
Awesome upgraded x5c-1 for a great deal. Very fun to fly and an impressive camera at this price point, just stack up on extra batteries as flight time is about 6-10 minutes. You can get a 5 pack of extended batteries and a multi charger on amazon for about $15
I purchased this for my very geeky husband, who owns every gadget out there. I did a lot of research before choosing this quadcopter. The description does not tell you that this is a Syma X5c 2.4G. In this price range, all the other quadcopters I found were made of styrafoam and this is all plastic. My husband was able to fly it easily and navigate the camera during flight. It crashed a few times, got stuck in a small tree twice, and bounced on the pavement without getting damaged. It comes with extra propellers and the replacement parts are very reasonable in price. My husband was impressed with the quality of the camera (he is quite picky) and the ease of pulling the video off of the micro SD card. It even does flips at the press of a button. After losing it once, he decided to put a "tile" inside (first removing the plastic tile cover) and wrote his name and contact info on the quadcopter with permanent marker. We bought an extra battery from the manufacturer so we could alternate them to get more fly time in. This item is lighter than the FAA requirements for drone registration so you won't need to bother with that.
Never flew one before. Not as simple as some make it out to be. But, overall, not too difficult. Perfect for the beginner. DO NOT try inside, until you have learned the controls. Do Not fly too far away, as it is difficult to see which direction it is pointed...LOL. Get extra batteries. Came complete with SD card. Pictures are fairly clear. (see attached) Go to YouTube for some excellent videos on this model. It helped me a lot. Then...have fun.
My wife bought me this drone (my first) for my birthday and it is a pretty good, durable drone. I mastered the basics within a day while in my apartment (after trial and error with plenty of crashes) and the overall experience with it has been good. I definitely suggest buying extra batteries as it has already been said, the charge will only last about 10 minutes. Make sure to look carefully for the right kind, as I made the mistake of not looking at the type correctly and bought 8 batteries that are too small when I was trying to go the cheap route on eBay. Even though it is durable, I highly suggest bonding the light covers down; I used hot glue so it is not permanent. I saw a suggestion of taping down the micro SD card on the camera for extra assurance, but I decided to add small amounts of hot glue since it won't peel like tape and it is a stronger hold (and easy to remove and reapply).
Our only problem is it stats that there is no assembly required. That is very false!!!
Bought two of these so a friend and i could use them together. EXPECTED that once all put together and synced they would rise straight up into the air when throttle was added and from there we could move them at our will. That did not happen. Both units after lifting off the ground would move rapidly away from us and no action from the direction control toggle would change that. We spent hours and hours chasing the units, reading and re-reading and RE-reading the manuals, and trying to "fine tune" the controllers to have SOME KIND of control over the units, but to no avail. We haven't given up yet, but we are not happy with our experiences. It just should not be this hard. When we add throttle the units should rise straight up in the air, and then we should be able to maneuver them in any direction we wish. That's just not happening. We will keep trying, but so far we're not impressed.
Received the product and it wasn't working properly. After calling the number for the return they said I had to do it on line. After much frustration I finally sent a message to Best Products Inc. They emailed me the next day asking if it was damaged or defective. I haven't heard from them since.
I bought this drone with pure excitement yet to only receive it and it not work. It never took off. I'm finally being able to possibly exchange it and or receive a full refund for this item after trying to contact the seller for weeks. Huge disappointment. K
Bought this as a Christmas present and decided to hold it for a January birthday instead. Opened it to find NO battery components, no camera. At the moment totally inoperable.
