We live in an area with only one grocery store. I am allergic to soy and dislike the olive oil based mayonnaise. Thank goodness I can order my favorite canola oil mayonnaise from Walmart!
I love this. It's tasty, and feels like a "real" mayonnaise, but is lots healthier. It doesn't taste like a "substitute."
Its better for you then Hidden Valley Ranch including light ranch. I hate anything thats not real mayo but we got this one time accident and its not bad not bad at all. Nat bad as in you deal with the taste it pretty good. Compared to real original mayo they all junk but as far as healthier its great.
I can't eat anything using soy in any form including soy oil and Trader Joe's was out of their regular mayonnaise also made with canola oil and this is just as tasty as theirs I am so grateful Better Foods a large company has started making this for those of us who have problems with soy.
I have tried the Olive Oil and Canola versions of Hellmans Mayo (which I use primarily in salad dressings), I have ruined cole slaw and ranch dressings using these alternatives, they just have some peculiar tastes in them. I was hoping to get somewhat healthier versions of the original, but these products taste totally different - I will stick with the original only. I wish I could get a refund since I wasted money both on the original purchase and on the salads and dressings I had to discard because they tasted bad
Look, texture, sour bitter flavor
Unfortunately, Way Too sweet. Best Foods has always been my favorite mayo... So I thought I'd try the canola oil version. (Insert sad trombone here) If I wanted miracle whip I would have bought miracle whip. This is supposed to be mayonnaise made with canola oil They should put the word sugar in big letters right on the front of the label instead of hiding it in the ingredient label. No one wants surprise sweet mayonnaise. They want to know up front.
I have been buying this mayonnaise because it previously did not list soy as an ingredient. Now it does. Oddly, the online ingredients list does not contain soy at this time. I now wonder if it has contained soy all along, and consumers have been misled, or if it is a new (unnecessary) addition. Regardless, I will no longer use BestFoods or Hellmann's Canola Oil Mayonnaise with soy.
Expired last year. September 14, 2021 ordered Jan 2022
I did not expect sweet mayonaise when I purchased your canola mayonaise. That can ruin a recipe. I liked the low cholesterol feature but not the taste.
