I am so happy with my firepit... easy to use, makes a great fire..Highly recommend it :0)
Only wanted a firepit like this to take with us to Cedar Point Amusement Park for the campground. They don't allow open fires, but now allow campfires in raised pits. So I didn't want to spend much money and didn't need anything fancy. I was wonderfully surprised that this is very sturdy, decorative, and larger than I though it would be. Well worth the purchase!!!!!
I've wanted a fire pit for quite a while, although the Texas weather doesn't warrant a great need for it. Just thought it'd look "Great" on my patio and deck. It's actually larger than I'd imagined which is Great since I'm not good with measurements. And the price was certainly a bargain for the size. Haven't used it yet since in Houston, TX we just experienced our first "real winter" in years, but I'm sure it'll come in handy during the month of March where the mornings and evenings are pretty cool and mid-day is warm.
Very easy to assemble (less than 5 minutes). It's sturdy and it looks nice on our patio. We had a fire this afternoon and it works great!
Got this fire pit for a great price for my husband for a Father's Day gift. Works wonderful and does a fantastic job at keeping us warm! Even our dog loved it as she sat on my lap enjoying the warmth!! A few days after ordering I noticed it was sold out online so glad I ordered when I did, great price for a great product!!
I ordered this from the site to store process using MyPoints (8 points per dollar) promotion. I got it with the accompanying cover. It was a great price - especially after the bonuses I got. The cover fits perfectly (had to buy seperately.) It's very sturdy - and you can burn the cardboard box after you assemble it! I got this mostly to roast marshmallows with the family unit and to burn trash instead of throw it away.
I really like this product. The price was great and its small enough to fit in my small courtyard without taking up the whole area. Its also a good looking item and not cheap looking. I am very happy with it.
At 48 dollars, this is a no brainer. I think we paid about the same 3 years ago now. It came with a vinyl cover and a poker that you use to remove the metal mesh cover to put more wood on the fire while burning. Assembly was simple, no problems there. The vinyl draw string cover is somewhat awkward to put on so I just don't use it for that, I actually use it to cover a small pile of wood near the pit to keep the wood dry and ready to burn. The vinyl cover would be more useful in northern climates, I recently moved from Michigan to Alabama and I can see where I would use it as intended up there to preserve the structural integrity of the unit during the winter months. The three inch rim around the bowl should not be used for moving the pit while burning, it is slightly thin strictly decorative and is not intended to be used that way, it also gets hot. After three years the only thing I take issue with concerning this product is the metal mesh cover that "melted" after our first big fire and has holes in it and is warped now due to excessive heat. We don't typically build huge roaring fires but did this first time not knowing how the fire would burn in the new pit, in other words, we over did it. This was only significant in the fact that replacing the mesh because it is a round cover would be difficult and requires something thin and flimsy to facilitate bending the material around to fit. There probably is solution to this small problem but I just use it as it is. The sparks are going to go right through the mesh cover anyway even it you fix the mesh so forget it and move on, it is not affecting the function. It does not bother me. The idea is to relax around the fire not get all worked up over the holes in the cover. In my picture with no fire in the pit you can't even see the holes, because of resolution limits on uploaded pictures. They are about two inches in diameter and I even had a hard time finding them when taking that picture. All in all, after three years of use the bowl is in great shape the legs are in great shape and the whole unit is still sturdy due to the naturally sturdy shape and design of the pit even after sitting out uncovered the entire three years. I am very happy with this product, especially considering the 48 dollar price. "It is what it is", and I would buy it again. Its a No Brainer.
This fire pit met my expectations as the reviews I read prior to ordering covered pros and cons. It looks nice, easy to put the base/legs together and performs as expected. It's just deep enough. The mesh cover is not a steep dome. I've used it several times and have had about 3 pieces of fire wood in it each time and have not had any issues. I do not try to use the dome over it while the fire is going but put it on at the end when the embers are burning out. It has not warped or "melted" at all. The bottom grate is like one you'd find in a small grill to cook on. The center has warped a slight bit from the heat but is still doing fine. There are 2 small holes in the bottom of the bowl I am assuming is to help with air flow but this can also allow some ash/embers to fall out. I simply but a small pie pan under it to catch any that might escape. I wasn't really worried about a safety hazard but had it set up on a concrete area and didn't want black ash on the concrete. Pleased with my purchase.
The fire pit I received is a bit flimsy. The metal on the lid bends very easily. And the rest of the metal is flimsy as well. Not what I expected but it does the job. Had several marshmallow toasting parties and it works.
