I received the BHG Pendant light which came with easy to read instructions. The solar powered decorative lantern required charging for 8-12 hours. There's an on button located on the bottom of the solar panel which has to be switched to the "on" position in order to allow the rechargeable battery to reach its charge capacity. Make sure you place it in a sunny area otherwise it will not take a charge. It charged up beautifully and is very well made. The hanging solar lantern has a hanging handle and can easily hang on a tree, garden, or patio. It would be a great addition for a garden, yard, wall, pathway, driveway, lawn, camping, home, bar, indoor and outdoor lighting and decoration. I highly recommend it!

I got this solar light and it's great! You do need to set it outside first and let it charge. But, the next evening, I sat outside on my deck. I had the light on my patio table and the light was so nice. It's not too bright, but bright enough. I plan to move it to my garden area soon. I would recommend this light.
I got this light to put in my backyard for some accent lighting for my flower bed, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but once I opened it and saw it out of the box I fell in love with it. The Pendant light is very attractive both day and night. I hung it on a Sheppard ‘s hook and it looks awesome, I am going to get a couple more to spread out in the backyard, I have gotten many compliments on the light. It provides a lot more light than I expected. My only negative is that the light doesn't last all night before the solar charge runs out. And that could be my fault because of the location not being sunny enough to provide a full charge, but I love the light and will definitely buy a couple more.
This is a great product, small and economic, yet with bright lighting to cover a large area. It is just right for backyard lights. The decor is perfect. It adds to wherever it is placed. I have a hard decision where it will get the best use. Great lighting.
This Better Homes and Gardens Solar Pendent Light is made of metal and has a on and off button, in case you may want to turn it off with out having to remove it. The light that the included warm white LED Edison bulb puts out is not blindingly bright and not so dim that nothing can be seen. I find the amount of light just right for my garden. The lantern measures 5.25 in Dia x 6.75 in H. I think the lantern design is simple but still very nice looking and the lantern being solar allows it to be hung anywhere that gets direct sun light for several hours. I like the idea of no wires or electric plugs to worry about. It does have a AAA 400 mAh 1.2 Ni-MH battery (included). From the picture on the box I thought it came with a chain, it doesn't, I had to provide one. It does have a (2) year warranty in case of any problems that may arise. I am very please with the Better Homes and Garden Solar Pendent Light.
I love this little lantern. I hope you keep them in stock. I bought two extra just in case it is awesome.
Unfortunately, I received my solar lantern during a prolonged period of cold rainy weather, so I charged it under a table lamp to see how it looked. I gave it 4 stars only because it did not come with the chain shown in the picture, so I'm not sure how I will use it next summer. After charging under the lamp for several hours, when I turned off the light the lantern came on--VERY bright! However, the light did not stay on for very long. It might need 6 or more hours of direct sunlight to properly charge the solar panel. This will look really nice hanging from a tree branch, or possibly a shepherd's hook in the yard. Unexpected light in a backyard setting. I'm hoping when I've been able to charge it right it will stay lit for at least a few hours. I love the Edison bulb shape! Very attractive design.
They are aesthetically pleasing and provide decent amount of light. 1 does not work. I purchased 3 of these and 1 didn't work. It's a waste of time and money to run back to Walmart for $6.97 I would not purchase again.
I bought 12 of these and none of them work the way they're supposed to. Waste of money!
