I find the Better Homes & Gardens Large 2 Sided Marble Finish Mirror to be made of sturdy material. The glass on both sides is perfectly made. The magnified glass side works extremely well for people who have a difficult time seeing. The marble on the bottom is pretty durable and very cute. I love how light the marble color is. The mirror swivels with a light touch. It matches my vanity perfectly. The glass is easy to clean if any smudges get on it, in my house that happens a lot because of 4 kids under 6. They have actually took it upon themselves to use it for their barbies when grandmas not looking. This mirror will be used a lot in this home.
This mirror measures 10.5" high by 7" wide. It has a marble finish on the solid base with silver finish surrounding mirror plus the stem. It has one side with regular view and the flip side has 5X magnification. The mirror is easy to clean and use. I find that it flips easily and stays put on the side you pick. I like that it does not tip over when it is in use or if I accidentally knock it over. I am very satisfied with it.
So sleek looking and will go with any décor. It's large enough to see your whole face in the regular side and it will magnify 5 times on the other side. It's so sturdy and will not tip over. Very nice mirror. Love the marble base because it is very thick and heavy. Flips around very easily.
I love this mirror. It's not something you can travel with; however, it's beautifully weighted and won't fall over on your bathroom counter. Materials are excellent--not that cheap stuff that suddenly turns rusty from bathroom moisture. I love the ability to flip the magnified side to reveal a regular mirror. Works really good for makeup, plucking eyebrows, scrubbing my face, etc... It also doesn't fog up too much after a shower. When it does fog, it is quick to clear up.
This is a very sturdy mirror. The marble is very beautiful and heavy duty it seems. The 5x side of the mirror really does a great close up. You won't miss anything using that side! But the other side is perfect too. I am very happy with this mirror and I use it daily!
This review is for the Better Homes & Gardens large 2sided marble finish mirror. Let me start by saying they packaged this thing wonderfully I think you could have dropped it on blacktop and it probably wouldn't have broken, great job. Now I'm getting older and the eyes aren't what they used to be so having a mirror That can magnify 5 x is so helpful when your trying to pick out those little gray hairs or whatever, and it is also a very good looking mirror I mean the marble stand and silver frame looks very expensive and it is heavy which is awesome because if you bump it better chance of not knocking it over, I am hoping for many years of use out of it , really like it and totally recommend it.
I love using this two sided mirror to apply and remove makeup or to do my hair. It's surprisingly heavy so I don't have to worry about it accidentally falling over; and the marble base is very pretty and fits in with my decor perfectly. I absolutely love it!
We are a household of almost all women, so there tends to be arguments over mirrors. Well it's honestly been a long time since I've owned a mirror like this, so decided to give it a try. First of all, it's a really great quality product. It's marble base is extremely sturdy, but also beautiful. One side of the mirror is a regular mirror & the other is 5x. I've put on my make-up with both sides and was happy with the results. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for one.
This Better Homes and Garden mirror is two sided. One side has a 5x magnification and the other is a regular mirror. It has a marble base which is heavy and prevents the mirror from tipping over even if you bump it. It is a pretty white marble and should blend in with any decor. I like the fact that it does not have a lot of "ginger bread" on it so that it is easy to clean. With hair spray, etc., that gets all over everything, my last one was a nightmare to keep clean. The chrome finish is shiny and the mirror tilts. It is not real tall, so it sits at a perfect height for me to see. It is not lighted, but I have good lighting over my vanity so it is not necessary for me. I found that the lighted mirrors do not make a difference is providing more light is a well lit room. I think the mirror is very well built and should last a very long time. So, if you are looking for a nice basic vanity mirror you should consider this one.
The Better Homes & Gardens Large 2 Sided Marble Finish Mirror is a nice mirror that has an attractive base and one good side, but has one significant flaw. I like the white marble finish which almost perfectly matches my bathroom counters, except the mirror has a bit of reflective glitter flecks in it. The 1X side of the mirror is good, the base and stand are solid, and underneath the base is a soft pad for stability and so it won't scratch or mark up the counter. However, the 5X side has a very narrow range of depth that you need to be within in order to see, which is about anywhere from 6-12" away. Any further away and it's blurry or so washed out you can't see anything. I have another 2 sided mirror with the same specifications - 1X and 5X and that one doesn't have that problem. I like this mirror but that flaw makes it so I would not recommend this product.
