This umbrella is really nice. Goes up easily, and it matches my patio set really well. I do not have the set that it actually matches. It is a pretty brown fabric that looks like it is woven, and is trimmed in sage green. I purchased the $11.00 market umbrella cover from Walmart, so that it will keep nicely. It is perfect, just what I wanted.
Excellent product. Excellent price. Provides very good shade. Looks nice as well in my backyard. One thing to understand is that it does not come with a base as the picture suggesting so make sure you buy a base as well. (and the nice ones are not cheap!)
Got this umbrella when it was on sale and it was a fantastic deal. I was a little worried that it might be a cheaper one and all flimsy but it's not at all. It goes perfect with our patio furniture and even updates it quite a bit. Very pleased with buying online as well. The ordering was easy and it came to the store just when they said it would.
seems sturdy, easy to put together
Overall, I think this is a good product fo the price, but be sure to roll it up during any sort of winds. I forgot to do so twice and now on my third umbrella, which we keep rolled up mostly all the time now. Wal-Mart exchanged my umbrella the first time as I thought it really did break on the inside turning mechanism. The second time it happened, it was my own forgetfullness that we left it up one night and an unplanned storm bent it right over. Plus, it looks good with the matching dining set.
The picture of this umbrella showed brown. When I picked it up it didn't look brown at all and had a teal colored band around it. It just wouldn't work with our patio furniture but I don't think they should call this umbrella brown it was more like a tweed with a teal band around it. So I would not recommend this umbrella only because it was not brown other than that it would probably make someone a nice patio umbrella.
OK, I was prepared for it to not block 100% of the sun-it is quite bright under the umbrella-you can still see your shadow on the ground. I would say it blocks about 70% of the sun. Then came the rain-I was shocked that it did not keep us dry! The rain came right through it! I never thought an "umbrella" would let rain through. For the $50 clearance price it is worth it for moderate sun reduction, crank opening and tiltability. If you need to stay dry-don't bother!
Again, I am disappointed with a purchase from Wal-Mart. This umbrella looks cheaply made. It works okay mechanically, but the material is so thin that it provides almost no shade whatsoever - which is why people buy umbrellas in the first place. Very upset and disappointed.
Our umbrella broke in the first week we had it. We didn't have any problem returning it at our local store though.
I bought this umbrella last summer 1st time I used it it bent. Did not use it again because I was not out to use it. I got it out a week ago and found that where it was bent it was not just bent but the arm was broken. So I have not been able to use the umbrella at all. It was a TOTAL waste of money for me.
