I received my Better Homes and Gardens Solar Garden Path Light, and I find it to be so much more beautiful and brighter than I thought it would be! Installation was beyond simple, it came with a battery to install which I gather is recharged daily to the built-in solar panel, by the natural sunlight. Upon arrival, it comes with the sharp end of the stake inverted into the main piece, but all you need to do is to pull the stake out and reinsert it so that the sharp end is pointing to the ground. It is extremely sensitive to light changes, which is great because it is easy on the usage of the charge. I simply place my hand over the solar panel, and the light comes on in the daylight. When I remove my hand, the light goes off immediately. I am really pleased with this! I took a photo of the pathway light in the daytime, and one in the evening. It really illuminates the front entrance to my home in an area that tends to be too dark, even with the porch light on. This is a beautiful addition to my front yard! I love how bright it is. At 20 Lumens, it is the perfect amount of soft, yet bright and pleasant lighting, and helps me to stay on the sidewalk when coming inside my home at night, so I feel much safer when walking in the dark. I really love this! I think it looks so lovely. I would absolutely recommend this product!
I selected the Better Homes & Gardens Solar Garden Path Light 20 Lumen, Bronze because I thought it would be a nice light for pool side. This selection comes with only 1 light, but it is a very nice size and could be placed in an area alone. I have placed it pool side in a rock garden and it is beautiful. Attached are some pictures to give an idea of its size. It was very easy to set up and put together. It only has 2 pieces the top and long stick base. The top easily comes off to remove the tab to activate the light feature. I set it up and it started working that evening. At night, the light shadows are beautiful, it gives off a mosaic pattern on the ground. It has a small solar panel which is a very nice feature and we don’t have to worry about keeping up with replacing the batteries. Its very well made and solid and we are very excited to read that it is rust-free and hope to have this light in our rock garden for a long time. I can’t help to re-state that my favorite feature of this the light is the pattern it gives off in the dark, please see in the attached picture how beautiful it is. I highly recommend this solar garden light for any area in the yard and/or garden. I am planning on getting a couple more to place around the pool.
This is an excellent quality solar path light. I just have one that I added it to our front garden bed, and it is very solid. It is real glass and heavy plastic. I'm pretty sure it stays lit all night. It is large and has a very pretty design over the lantern. I would definitely recommend.
The Better Homes & Gardens Solar Garden Path Light 20 Lumen in Bronze is a welcome addition to my property! I truly love how elegant the design is. Not only is this path light bright, but decorative and sturdy. It looks so beautiful in daylight and nighttime hours. At night, it casts such a pretty flower patterned shadow! (see photo) Very easy to assemble and placed it right into the dirt! An impressive way to help see my way in the evening while walking my dog. A quality light fixture and will definitely be buying more! Love it!
This Better Homes and gardens solar path light is giant and super bright compared to my other solar lights. It has 20 lumen with a reflective bottom inside which make it very bright. It is a large size with aprox 21.46” tall. The top light portion is aprox 5” tall and 6.69” wide. It’s very easy to install. Simply open the top to remove the battery tab, slide the pole into the top, slide the spike into the bottom of the pole and push into ground. It is a nice rich bronze color and very thick and sturdy plastic with an elegant design. Solar lights are wonderful to give security and beauty to your outdoor space without all the ugly wires. They come on automatically at night and go off in the morning. I will definitely be buying more of these impressive solar lights for my yard for our evening dog walks.
The Better Homes and Gardens Solar Garden Path Light isn’t your typical small path light. As soon as you take it out of the box, you’ll feel the difference both in weight and in size. This is a Very well built garden light and a good bit bigger than what you typically see in most stores. It takes two hands to wrap your hands around the light. Aside from the size difference between this and most other solar path lights, this baby puts out 20 lumens whereas most other path lights are between 5 and 10 lumens. It’s nice and bright at night, and because of its size, you can clearly see it when driving by our house. I have two smaller solar path lights in our other flower bed on the lawn and this outshines them both combined. I’ve already had people asking what store they could find this light and have gotten several compliments on it. It’s like most other lights in that in comes in 3 pieces. You pull the spike out of the bottom and insert it and then just pop the post onto the light itself. Don’t forget to pull that tab at the battery compartment. I’ve recommended this to other members in my family and would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice, bright solar light for their garden. Thanks Better Homes and Gardens.
The lights we received are well made. They all lit up immediately. We do suggest that if you need to move them once you put them in the ground that you grab them by the spike. It makes it easier to pull them out without separating.
I have to say I am pleased and pleasantly surprised with this solar light. Really pretty bronze color with a clear lamp on top, and the solar light on top. This really lightens and brightens my front gate area. For me is great, since I do some entertaining outside this is just enough light to see whats around outside and see your walkway. The quality of the solar light is really sturdy and u dont see how it could break. Overall, I'm really happy with this light and it matches my outside decor perfectly. Super easy to get it the ground, or you can have a flat bottom on it to have on a table. I like that I'd I want to, I can switch it up. It's not too tall, so it could really fit anywhere, like a garden, or even a walkway like I am doing. I'm very happy with this solar light and forsee myself getting more.
The first thing that was outstanding about this solar light is the brightness is like a mini torch light. The outer housing is made of a brown plastic that looks like a bronze metal at a distance. Only when you look at it very close up you can tell it has a plastic outer housing. The inner glass is very thick and durable and makes this light look and feel very durable and high end. The housing is larger than many solar garden lights and as a result is more outstanding. When you open the package, the stake is inserted in one end of the tube and you have to pull it out and re-attach it so the pointy end is on the outside of the tube. The other end of the tube is attached to the base of the housing holding the light. To start using, twist the entire top of the light anticlockwise to remove the head and pull out the tab for the AA rechargeable battery. This allows the battery to receive charge from the solar panel. I found it easier to remove the head by holding the unit upside down on a cloth and twisting the base off. All in all, this solar garden light is totally gorgeous and would light your garden pathway, or can be used as a decorative piece in plant pots. I even added it to an indoor plant close to a window with full sunlight and the moment it starts to get dark, the light comes on.
Well I heard these type of lights don't last long but just over a week and so far still shines bright. The first night it came on bright and I was like "aahh" of course it was storming and I said the heck with it, not going out there to take a picture but next day light was tilted and didn't come on that night. Then when I straightened the light out it came on, not sure what that was all about but did come back on which I was glad, may have to get another light since one light really doesn't do the job well at keeping things well lit.
