I've had alot of candles and holders over the years and this is my favorite, this is in fact, what a candle holder is supposed to do. The facets magnify and spread the light in a pretty design all over the table & wall; the prism bevel multiplies the single flame into 3 flames or more. Before electricity, this, along with a mirror back, got every square inch of possible light out of a single flame. Mine is on a mirrored top bureau with a small stereo - the flame sometimes flickers with the music vibration! lovely.
I bought this product as a centerpiece for a formal dinner. It added elegance to the atmosphere...and inexpensive too. Can use an 8 inch taper or a votive candle as well.
I am very pleased with my purchase of the Hurricane glass candle holder. It is called a votive candle holder , and you can place a votive candle in it, but it is designed to hold a 6" taper candle which is what I wanted. All in all a good buy for the money. It is well made. Has a good heft to it, not wimpy or delicate.
I was hoping for a little more bevell in the glass. I love this design for a hurricane. It is very hard to find the crystal hurricanes anywhere. I had to order this online , because they are not in the store. This is the design that I wanted, it was just not as fancy as I hoped.
