I love to bake but not up to the mess it makes. This Brownie mix is easy to make without all the mess and they taste super good. I add semi-sweet chocolate chips , a few walnuts and sometimes make a quick peanut butter glaze to put on top. I make them in a 9 X 13 pan and they come out very nicely. If yours are not rising enough maybe it's because you are greasing the sides of the pan, do not grease the sides of the baking pan. I make these brownies and everyone loves them , if I want them more of a cake type I add 3 eggs instead of 2 , they are chewier with just 2 eggs. They are a winner in my home ! The price is super low for a batch of brownies.
I agree with so many of these reviews. The new fudge brownie mix formula is TERRIBLE. CHANGE IT BACK! Please! You took the best go-to quick treat that my family and friends have loved for years and ruined it. I won't buy it anymore. This new formula is embarrassingly bad.
I agree with all the one-star ratings for reviews after you changed your brownie formula. It does not deserve even a one-star rating. Your Fudge brownie mix went from the BEST to the absolute WORST! I made brownies from scratch up until over 50 years ago. Then I started using Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix exclusively. Everyone raved about my brownies, and I always shared my source with them. It's no longer even edible. I made the usual batch and it turned out dry, crumbly, light colored and not fudgy at all. They went in the garbage. At first, I thought it was something I did, so I made another batch. It tuned out exactly the same way as the first batch. HORRIBLE. Not only did I waste the cost of four of your brownie mixes, I paid for oil and eggs for the brownies, and cocoa, milk, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar for the frosting I put on both batches. Whomever you allowed to change and market whatever you're putting in the box called Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix should be fired before they ruin the Betty Crocker company completely. They are destroying your company. Why you would want to even change something that successful is a mystery to me. You should have used the changed formula in your test kitchens and had taste tests with panels of your customers who know what brownies should taste like. I will never buy Betty Crocker products again, and I'm letting everyone know why. Even if you say you changed the formula back, I will need to see multiple current five-star reviews before I will ever purchase Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix again.
Change them back. I thought maybe it was just me but after reading other reviews it not. You've taken a good product and turned it to junk. Corporate profits triumphs over quality again. The fudge brownies used to be exactly that. Now they're thin, tasteless and cake like. Sorry but I'll no longer be buying your product.
This was our family's favorite brownie, but not anymore. The mix has changed and now results in thin crispy edges with no crackly top (unlike the picture on the box). These are terrible. The size change also makes it so we can't use it as a base for recipes anymore.
I have to agree with most of the reviews. Everyone has loved my Dark Chocolate Betty Crocker brownies. Not anymore! What have you done to the mix? The Brownies are more cake like, not good and gooey like they used to be. Please Please what ever you did to the mix change it back!!!!
WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU CHANGE A PRODUCT THAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LOVE? The "new" BC Brownies are nothing like the delicious, chewy product I purchased - even just a few months ago. The new box yields hard and lifeless brownies that I am ashamed to bring to the church potluck. Shame on you. If you need to raise the price - do it. Don't skimp on ingredients and think we won't notice.
Why did General Mills make changes to the BC brownie mix? I've been making for years. The brownies used to be fudgy and tasty. Now they're dry and fall apart. 19.9 oz. to 16.3 oz. to save money? Very disappointing. Not a good decision by General Mills. Customers like me will buy different brands like Ghirardelli.
The Betty Crocker Pouch Brownie Mix, 8” X 8” pan size is not the same product anymore. The low cost price point, pantry convenience, store availability and ease of preparation were the top reasons for purchasing. The fudgy, moist results were always dependable. With just a few ingredients, the taste and texture were always great. WHAT HAPPENED?!! Now, the baked Brownies from the pouch mix are dry, crumbly and no longer rich or chocolaty in flavor. So disappointing! I can't recommend this product or continue to buy it. NOT GOOD!
Item not as described, ordered 4 of the 6 packs and only received 4 individual boxes at pickup
