This set of bookends arrived at my home in a very timely manner, and were packaged wonderfully. Each book end weighs 8 lbs. The metal and shading of the colors are very beautiful and unique. I actually bought these to put on an inside front room window sill. The window is a long, tall one that goes down to nearly the floor. I put a pretty floral arrangement in the center, and used these bookends to balance it out. There is a walkway outside this window, and everyone who comes to our home comments on how beautiful they look. PS-Our dogs like to perch themselves onto the windowsill to see who has pulled into our driveway, and these are too heavy for them to knock over!
I use them by displaying on a bedroom table with a few favorite books.
I liked it for myself and feel it's a nice gift for a lay or ordained friend.
I was very supprised how much heavey they were and they were excally what I was looking. I really like them very much I will go back on the web site when I am looking for something I can't find anywhere else.
These bookends were even nicer than anticipated. They had a very classic look. Excellent quality.
When these book ends arrived I was so pleased with the quality. They look much more expensive than the price. Thanks Walmart
Great Quality, Would use in home also, great addition to our church library
We purchased these to use as bookends and are very pleased with the craftmanship and quality. These are very eye appealing, heavy enough to hold up a row of heavy books but not too heavy to carry. I appreciate that there is felt on the bottom so it doesn't scratch the shelf nor does it cause the bookend to slide; it stays secure in it's place. They are so attractive that only one is bookending while the other is on another shelf right now as decoration!
These bookends are exactly what I expected. They are heavy and the size is perfect for the books I put them around. Color is the same as in the online picture.
The bookends are heavy and will do the job of holding books, but the overall look was disappointing. It certainly doesn't look classy which I hoped for after spending that much money. My husband needs a set of bookends, so I am keeping them, but I would not buy again.
