my son is very large he is also disabled he had previously broke 2 toliet seats so I read about these big john toliet seats were easy to install and looks good he says its comfortable and it looks good so hopefully I want have to buy another for a long time i would highly recommend the big john toliet seat .
I'm a plus size fellow at about 350 pounds. Sturdy wood toilet seats might last me a year or two and plastic seats might only last a couple months. I have no doubt this seat will last me the rest of my life. I have three words to describe this seat. SOLID, SOLID
kids have broken three seats and they cant break this they have tried geat item seemed huge but its built to be stable so its wide great item
Would like if this model gave just a bit more height but its clear its made with quality. The plastic is very very strong, the seat is big and comfortable and very easy to install. The bumpers on the bottom add stability so you never feel as though you're about to fall off or slide off. Great product so far.
Ordered this for my 83 yr old dad. He's bit bigger 245lbs bad knees and all. He often complained the other toilet seat was to small. There's plenty of real estate for his bottom on this bad boy toilet seat. Had it installed in 5 minutes. Time will tell if it last long.
This is a replacement for my original Big John toilet seat. Being a large person, finding a seat designed for me is a bonus. It is sturdy and comfortable. I have even recommended it to the Chief of Bariatric Surgery when hospitalized. Yay! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great seat for large people...supports weight better than normal toilet seats so seat doesn't crack
My family and I really like this seat. It is large, comfortable and sturdy. The only con thus far is the seat and lid do not have a slow close, so be careful because this will slam down and possibly crack the toilet.
The toilet seat fit well on our existing toilet, but as the reviews said, it does extend out a few inches from the bowl for stability.. One of the plastic screws holding it to the toilet busted within the first 48 hours of installing it, but I knew this might happen from reviews I had read before purchasing. I just replaced them with long metal screws, washers, and nuts, and so far they are holding up. I would recommend purchasing the model that includes metal hinges and screws.
Love the seat itself. Comfortable and doesn't move around. However, the lid will not go back far enough to stay up. The toilet seat will not stay up. Makes it harder to clean.
