have been using bio gaia tablets for yrs. to prepare homemade yogurt with l reuteri. was not warned by company of change in method of repackaging product from push-out tabs to bottled tabs. same ingredients; same delicious yogurt.
Has great flavor if chewing. Used this to make L. Reuteri yogurt which gives you more probiotic bacteria count. Check Dr William Davis website for yogurt recipe.
I really like this product. Have taken it for 6 months.
The reviewer who tested zero viable lactobacillus , may have had some tabs that got too hot during shipping. I use this as starter culture for yogurt. Use 10 crushed tablets with 32oz milk or half
I ordered this to make L. Reuteri yogurt, from a recipe by a Dr. Davis. Wow, it is really delicious, and the BioGaia tablets worked perfectly. Will purchase again when/if I need to restart the culture.
I purchased the tabs to culture in milk, it works. I add 3tsp. of inulin and set IP on the medium YOGURT heat setting as recommended by IP (I texted them). The incubation was 40 hours. It seems using 10 tabs for in a gallon of X works best. Using a starter works bet with a couple of crushed tabs thrown in, it'll be thicker than just whey or curd only. As far as results, mood change is subtle, I'm laid back anyway. It does suppress the appetite, perks up libido, hair improves so says my hair cutter lady. Skin improvement hasn't been noticed. Nails seem better but it might be from juicing for the past year.
No noticeable difference since I started using this. Giving it 90-days and will re-assess after that.
Didn't realize it was a chewable so at first most of it just ended up in my teeth than being swallowed down, so I learned to crush it up with my front teeth so I could actually swallow something down. L. reuteri is supposed to be particularly beneficial with overproduction of methane in the gut which causes specific issues I won't go into. I can't say I saw any improvement or benefit at all. I'm sure it was good for me but with no visible improvement, I'll have to give it a pass after finishing the one box.
The product boxes came crushed. The tablets are in blister packs and because the boxes were crushed, several of the blister packs were slit and the tablets broken. There are probably more broken/crushed tablets that I will find when I use the undamaged blister packs. I will not buy this product from Walmart again. Lazy packaging by vendor.
Packaging received not as advertised above! Prefer the individualized sealed foiled wrapped packaging as photo advertisement online when purchased. Too much work to return. Won't buy again from Walmart!
