I have used Biotene for about 30 years. The gentle mint formula is the only toothpaste that doesn't give me mouth sores. I am down to my last few days of my final tube. I am not sure what to try in it's place. The original mint is way too strong. Please hear us when we say, being back the gentle mint!
This product is excellent for dry mouth as a result of SLS sensitivty. Unike many other 'SLS-free' toothpastes, Biotene doesn't acually contain any of SLS's chemical equivalents; nor sodium- meaning there is nothing that can dry your mouth. Of course, this means it doesn't really foam at all in your mouth; it feels a bit like brushing with minty saliva. What's also absent from the ingredient list is glycerin, which might explain why others didn't get the 'tongue gliding over teeth' feel. As for my teeth, I'm years beyond being able to fix them with toothpaste alone, but given the mild Biotene formula, you might want to maintain a healthy diet and make sure you brush properly to ensure a clean mouth. But in the end, waking up in the morning with a moist chomper and no morning breath is well worth it. I'd definitely recommend it over any other regular, and 'natural' toothpastes.
One of the best fluoride toothpaste for clean fresh breath is the one and only Biotene. They also have other oral hygiene products. It's also #1 dentist recommended.
Please please bring ***GENTLE MINT*** BACK!!!!!! That's the only one my mom can use!! The Fresh Mint burns her. WHY WHY would you discontinue this? IT MAKES NO SENSE!
I'm giving the GENTLE MINT formula five stars because I've used it for years. I have an autoimmune condition to make the inside of my mouth raw and this is the only toothpaste I found that doesn't burn. I'm so disappointed that it has been discontinued and I've tried three other brands that have been suggested to me, all of which burn. Please, please bring the gentle mint formula back!
I have PoTs and experience flares that come along with intense dry mouth. I started using this toothpaste and the Biotene mouthwash and it has made such a big difference. I can take my pills in the morning more comfortably. It is great for brushing my teeth and makes a lot of bubbles so I feel like I am doing a good job. Dry mouth can also increase chances of cavities, so the fluoride is definitely needed to keep my teeth healthy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 10/10!! Wish it was in stores though! This product is the only one that doesn't make my gums feel like they are on fire! I love it.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. The "new" Biotene is awful--it burns my mouth. Please bring back the old Biotene that doesn't burn. Several websites have people with the same comment. I will do without toothpaste now unless I can find something else that doesn't burn.
Used biotene 10plus years until formula changed "improved PH balance" I as the many negative comments from the majority of previously long term and faithful followers stopped using it. I think new and improved means cheaper ingredients and more profit. This is second request to bring back old formula . What happened to customer satisfaction ?
My husband is driving me crazy trying to find someplace who carries the low foaming Biotene toothpaste. He bought the NEW gel thinking that was the replacement and through it in the trash. This is beginning to look a lot like " the bomb of the "New Coke,"
