This is a nice inverter. I paired this with my Stanley power pack ( you can see in pic ) with them paired I can use many electric device's such as fans TV's game decks lights. Chargers for phones , tablets. There are many things you can run I have not tried, there was only one thing I did try that it did not run that was a 4inch grinder but I did not think it would run it but even though it did not have the power to run it it did not hurt the inverter in any way it still works fine. It has a very sturdy well constructed case it is one of the best well put together inverters of this size I have ever seen I would highly recommend this unit if you need or can get by with one. This size these are the perfect size to keep in your glovebox or your trunk just in case you need some 110 volt power from your car. Would be great for hunting, fishing , camping or many other reasons. I give this a 10 out of 10 a great product.
The Stanley Powerit power inverter is a great little device. It has a 120 volt ac outlet and a 2 amp USB outlet. It plugs into the cigarette lighter in your car. It has a good weight and seems very heavy duty. The plastic casing seems very sturdy. The 120w ac power plug folds down into the back of the case when not in use for a very slim-lined profile. This makes storage quite simple. The Powerit inverter charges many different electronics and devices. Our main use is from charging phones, laptops, DVDs players, and tablets. Mainly it will be used for trips when we need to recharge devices that are being used. I am sure it has many more uses. It would be great for pumping up inflatables at the beach or lake, or even air mattresses. The 2 amp USB outlet is great because it charges your device at a faster rate. I am really impressed with the size and how quiet this device is. We have a rather large inverter that we have used on trips and in addition to being in the way, it is very loud. The Powerit inverter is virtually noiseless. When you have the inverter plugged into your lighter outlet properly, a blue strip of light near the bottom will light up to show it is ready to use. If it lights up red, it is not inserted properly or the car is off and it is drawing directly from your battery. My only issue with this inverter is that it is extremely hard to put into the lighter outlet. It is a very snug fit. I had to use a lot of force to insert it and taking it out made me worry it would break my outlet. It will probably loosen up with use. It also is very awkward to use in my car as you can see from the pics. I had to put my car in drive so I could maneuver the inverter into the socket. There should be no problem with most vehicles or the outlet in the backseat. Great little device. We are much happier with this inverter than our old dinosaur one! :). The price is great, and it does an awesome job. I definitely recommend this product.
Super nice and convenient! Yes, I’m excited to review the Stanley 120W Power Inverter I ordered from Walmart.com. I’ve had a similar product in the past and was anxious to receive this unit. Packaged well and shipped fast, I had it up and in use in minutes of its receipt and has been working like a charm in my vehicle. Fits in the auxiliary ports just fine and instant power is delivered. This inverter supplies up to 120 continuous watts of power in the power outlet and up to 5 volts USB power. There is built in silent running technology and the male end plug can adjust to 3 different angle positions for maximum versatility and use. Compact, comes with directions and other product information. This compact traveling companion would be perfect for any boat, rv, camper or power unit with an auxiliary port. For standard plug in or to power up a device via a usb cable, this nifty gadget works great. The male plug in end, neatly folds into the body of this unit when in tote between vehicles for ease and convenience. Every person should have one for the road! I’d recommend protecting it from where you may set a drink to avoid spilling into unit. The only thing it is missing is a neat waterproof carry / storage case to protect it when not in use. Definitely recommend.
The Stanley 120W Power Inverter is SUPER. Works as advertised. I carry on motorcycle so I have an AC interface to operate a minimum of items I carry requiring the household connector. Camping while riding motorcycle can be challenging at times, but nice devices like this help considerably. I recommend to whomever might need such a device.
Love this! Picked it because I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in my car. I can use a heater fan, and charge my,phone. Great for,an extra plug on the go. Will work well for camping, to use an air pump to inflate, air beds. Not cheap made, has a good weight to it and should last,a,while.
Ok your electronic device needs charging in the car. Or.... you need to power a small current draw system with 120 VAC. Like a Battery drill charger or your laptop or even a small fan or electric drill maybe. And your camping or in an area where there is no AC power. Sure you can get a larger more costly solution. But this compact inverter will work for many small electrical needs you may encounter on the road. If your smart device charger is blown and all you have is an ac power block to usb. This will do the trick. It also has a usb side port that will work with most small "smart device" chargers. The cigarette lighter jack folds neatly away into the back of the block for compact storage. Either way this solution is compact and handy. It fits easily into most glove compartments or door storage bins. Last resort the trunk. But that is overkill for this nice little adapter.
I got this for my dad who has many tool, most which need to be charged. He has had it in his truck and does use it for that. It can't do anything huge, but if you let it charge a couple of ho0urs, it can help out quite a bit. It is a good way to add a usb charger for a car that didn't come with one as well. Just a good idea and it's compact size make it something most people would enjoy.
The Stanley Powerit 120W Power Inverter can be used to power 120 Volt AC personal electronics as well as 2Amp USB power cords. I have used this device numerous times to re-charge my smartphone and can get a complete charge within an hour. The power inverter can be used to re-charge tablets, cameras, video game controllers, laptops, MP3 players, etc. However, the Power Inverter is limited to low voltage electronics. Among the safety features for this product, a blue light will appear on the lower edge if the device being plugged in is compatible. A flashing red light will appear if the device plugged in should not be used on this power inverter. I tried plugging in a small 4-cup coffee maker (thinking it would be fantastic to have a taste of civilization when tent camping!). Just plugging the coffee maker in, without turning it on, caused the power inverter to flash red. While making coffee is not possible, the device easily handles recharging my smartphone and tablet, and does so very quickly compared to other power inverters I have tried. The other safety feature built in is a low-battery protection to make sure the vehicle’s battery is not drained completely. The plug that goes into the cigarette lighter pivots and can be folded for easy storage or bended downward so it does not stick out when not in used. In summary, the Stanley Powerit 120 Watt Power Inverter is decent for its intended purpose, wishful thinking aside.
This Stanley 120W power inverter is my go-to device for powering small electrical items while on the road. Relatively small and compact with some weight to it, like all good quality products. In addition, it has a USB port as another source for charging devices like mobile phones. The cigarette lighter jack folds back into the recess area built in, for easy storage without anything sticking out. Good build, compact, and easy-to-use. Just plug in and power up while on the go.
I received this product free to review so, I was really excited to try out this 120W Inverter. You can never go wrong with a Stanley product and it would be perfect to power my laptop when I am out and about and running low on battery power. There's just one thing, the socket plug in end of this is too big and will not fit into my lighter. I have tried it in a 2003 Ford Explorer and in a 2005 Scion XA and it would not fit into either one. It will not even go far enough in for the metal connectors to engage. I tried to squeeze them to see if that was why it would go in but that didn't help. It's as if the plastic casing is about a millimeter too big in diameter. I am hoping that this is just because I got a defective one because I have read other reviews on this item and they all say great things about this product. If anyone else has encountered this issue I would like to know about it. This probably would be a great item if it worked. It is compact and I like that the plug in socket folds into the back of the inverter for compact carrying.
