LouieThis mower is mostly plastic, so it's much easier to push than regular mowers. I also liked the ease with which you can raise or lower the height of the wheels. If the grass is high, you have to go slower, as the directions say, but it does a good job of cutting. I didn't use the bag, because my town doesn't pick up grass clippings, but it mulched the grass so small, there was no big clumps of grass left as has sometimes happened. The mower was easy to clean, as you turn it on it's side, & was not heavy. The mulching unit is accessible, & also easy to clean. I did find it uncomfortable to hold the part that keeps the mower on, & had to change my grip constantly.
This mower does a great job and is easy to use. The simultaneous wheel adjustment is a wonderful convenience. Mows well even in wet grass! Easy to recharge. If you want to go "green" by eliminating gas exhaust fumes and also do away with pulling on a cord to start the mower, this is definitely the one for you. I have absolutely no negative comments on this item. I am very pleased that I bought this mower, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a smaller sized yard.
I have used this mower for 6 summers and have had no problems. I have never had to buy gas, it is lightweight and VERY easy to push, it is so quiet that neighbors never hear it, and it has never run out of juice on our lawn (1/6 acre). My only criticism is that it doesnt have a removable battery pack like other rechargable devices, so one battery could charge while the other is being used.
HAVE ONLY HAD THE BLACK & DECKER MULCHING RECARGEABLE MOWER FOR A SHORT TIME, BUT SO PLEASED WITH WITH THE EASE AND PERFORMANCE. NO GAS, OIL, SPARK PLUG TO MESS WITH, AND IT DOES A BEAUTIFUL JOB. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, AND THANK WAL-MART FOR THE EASY ON LINE ORDERING AND SHIPPING.
I have used this cordless mower about 6 times and it has been perfect for my 100/135 lot. Much quieter than the gas engine mower and the one-touch height adjustment is great. It has drawn a lot of interest from my friends and neighbors as well. Go Green.
If you like doing good things for the environment and like mowing your lawn quietly and like not having to deal with gas and oil, this is the lawn mower for you. It works perfectly, I just keep it charged in my garage and it's just unplug it and go. I had an electric lawn mower previously for about 10 years and this one is a great replacment. I would never buy anything else. Drawbacks: I wish it was a little less expensive and being almost 6ft tall, the angle of the handle is a little low but that's it.
I have owned this mower for the last 10 years and it has never failed me. Starts instantly. Extremely low maintenence and mulches like a charm. It has withstood being outside all winter in colorado and has never been affected (I do tarp it). Do your self a favor and buy this mower over any other. For the average yard it is faultless and is a performer! Both of my neighbors bought one! Singly the best purchase for my yard maintence I have ever made. I'm getting another one for another property.
I am a single female that owns a home. I did not want to have to buy gas, oil, etc for a lawnmower so I spent extra for a cordless product. I have a small yard that I can cut in less than an hour without recharging. I recommend this product to anyone with small yard and doesn't want to be bother with the extra maintenance of a gas mower.
I have been pleased with this lawn mower. The battery was 90% charged when I received the unit and was put into use within several hours. The only negative is the handle position is too low and there is no adjustment to raise it.
I thought this would be the perfect mower for me because I didn't want to mess with gas and oil. It turns out that it will not keep a charge long enough to finish the front yard which would normally take 30 minutes to mow. I would not recommend this to anyone. I have charged it in various locations thinking that may help, but nothing has helped. I want my money back!!!!!!
