First of all, I've never had a blender with such great power and reliability, not to mention diversity. Plenty of speeds and uses, including a smoothie setting which works like a charm. Love the heavy glass pitcher and that it locks into place for blending safety. Not sure about others' experience with this item but I've had mine for a few years now and have had absolutely no problems with it. Maybe I take better care of things? Super easy to clean up and compact base design leaves counter space for other things. My only complaint is that the little cup thingie in the lid that covers up the insertion opening doesn't lock into place, making it a little tricky to take off the lid BUT the lid seals nice and snug for a no leak experience.
I received my blender about two weeks ago. I have used blenders for many years.{all different brands} This new Black & Decker blends chops, purees, and does just about whatever I need to do.
I bought this blender in the store and it did an okay job of blending smoothies but died on us after about 6 months of use (loud grinding gears noise and burn smell). Thankfully Black & Decker honored the warranty and sent me out a new blender (the other Cyclone model). Haven't had a chance to put this new one through some use yet, but I'm not holding my breath. I ended up going out and buying a "Ninja" Master Prep Pro. I like the Ninja overall but will say that I don't like having to remove the entire motor and top lid to add more items to blend. Also, the B&D blender above blended to a smoother texture than the Ninja.
Worst blender I have ever owned!!! I have had the blender less than 3 months and it only works some of the time. Sometimes it will work for a few seconds and sometimes not at all. Waste of $$$ I didnt even want to give this product 1 star :(
I bought this to replace one of my blenders. What a disappointment.... It shuts off after 10 seconds of running and will not restart unless you unplug it for about 5 minutes.
Do not waste your time and money on this. In a month its blade and motor both failed. Very poor in watts, though it was written on box that it is with 550 or 650 Watts but the fact is that it doesn't handle too much.. It breaks easily. Very much disappointed with this product. I am going to return it back and buy a different from another company.
