Great spot light for the outdoors. It was also helpful when the power went out at home the flashlight stayed on for hours and is every bright. The red lights are just about worthless though.
You simply Plug into a wall outlet with any extension cord. Does not have a separate charger because it is built in. Has approx 1 hr run time on a full charge. I bought 3 of these. A Superb Rechargable Spotlamp!
Great light to see with really powerful I live on 1 plus acres and it shines farther then that. Great for every use I use it to take my dog out and it helps a lot to see what's out there. The only problem I have with it is that it is heavy. But other wise a very good light.
Second one I've bought ... first one is at bottom of lake. Strong light beam with great distance. Good value for under $20. Battery life is fairly short before having to recharge but great if you're only using sporadically. Not meant to leave on for a long time.
I bought 2. After about a month or so 1 of them quit working, issue with the main light. So I bought a 3rd spotlight thinking that it was a fluke, but the third did the exact same thing. I've returned 2 out of 3. The 1 I still have works absolutely fine, does as it should. So .. great but you get what you pay for.
I have been a fan of B&D tools and appliances but I should have read the whole box before I purchased this. I had purchased this for boating, fishing, lobster bullynetting, hunting etc. However it is only meant to last about 15 minutes or so. I timed it and at 10 minutes it had already dimmed so much that it was almost dead, so I ended the timing at 10 mins. It's useful in that it can be charged using a 12v in your truck/car/boat and can also be charged with a regular heavy duty wall electrical cord and that it also has a trigger lock to keep the light on without having to hold the button (can turn it on and hang it up). However it does not charge when it's plugged in and turned on. I found a more suitable one for our usage but with a longer lasting battery, so this one will get returned to walmart.
Although this unit now comes with a DC charger, it did not when I purchased it. With a full charge, the battery lasts about 15 minutes. I've used it sparingly for 18 months, and the battery now will not hold a charge for more than 30 seconds. The battery was suppose to "last the service life of the unit." Guess that's about 18 months, because there is no way to replace the battery. I will not be buying another one.
Not even worth the reduced price of 19.88. A major disappointment. I fully charged mine and locked it in the 'On' position. In about 12 minutes the light was dimmed to the point of being useless. In 15 minutes it was D.O.A. Save your money.
This is made out of heavy duty material, but that's all that I can say that is on the positive side. It's VERY heavy to try to hold so it's good that they put a fold out stand with it. The one we bought only charged up one and now will no longer even take a charge. Even with the first time charge, it only lasted a very short time (matter of minutes) so with that being said, and reading some of the other reviews, I don't think I would recommend it, nor would I waste money buying another one.....Good luck if you do buy it....
When the first one failed, I returned it and bought another one. BIG MISTAKE! The second one was just as bad. For 15 minutes both worked beautifully ... then POOF ... no light. That's not good when I'm out in the 'back 40' at night. I would have bought a more expensive model but this was the only one available at my local store. I'm glad I picked up a $13 spotlight at Harbor Freight as a backup. It's light is not as bright but at least it stays lit! I'm so disappointed with Black & Decker's spotlight!
