Starts well & trims well -- haven't tried the edger yet. Seems to be verty good quality. A tad bit heavy for an old guy.
Great buy! Gets the job done, easy to start, and matches up to any other commercial edger on the market. So happy I purchased.
Excellent feature to have both trimmer and edger on one piece.
Used it once. Good power compared to my old trimmer. So far happy with purchase and price.
My daughter bought one two years ago that I kept borrowing. Finally decided to get one of my own. Ordered online and it was delivered within 2 days. Great service.
Have used trimmer and edger attachments several times. Easy to switch attachments. Easy start motor. Only issue is the edger guide plate. There is a silver metal guide plate on the edger attachment. Only thing, regardless of which depth setting you place the wheel/guide plate, the guide plate sticks down too far and makes it difficult to push the edger along the cutting path. I took a drimmel metal cutting wheel and cut off the guide plate. Now the edger glides easily on the wheel and smooth sailing. Without the guide plate its easy to manually guide the edger along the path next to my concrete walk. The guide plate may be an effort to meet some crazy safety regulation but it then makes it more difficult to edge. As recommended, I always wear safety goggles with this tool. Anyway, problem solved for me and I am enjoying my new trimmer/edger combo.
Bought this item since it combined the trimmer/edger features. It was a great value for them both. It is easy to switch between the two and sufficient power for what in need in my yard. Great buy.
I bought my first one a few months ago after using Echo brand for years. I have been very happy with my purchase . Both the trimmer and edger work very well. I liked it so much I bought a second one for future use that I haven't even taken out of the box yet. Best value for this type tool that I have found.
I have owned this weed-eater for one lawn season. I am a college student and have a few lawn customers. What I can say about it so far is that it is not a commercial machine. I can't tell you how many times I have had to sit there and pull the string 100 times before it starts sometimes. I have replaced the spark plugs and even took the carb apart to make sure it was clean and adjusted right. After cutting one lawn for the day after it's hot it doesn't like to start again until it is cooled down. The head on it is garbage if you buy it first thing you need to do is go buy a echo speed feed head. But all in all when it runs it's been a good machine i find it a little too week while edging and always hogs down. It has lasted longer than I thought it would though. I would not buy this weed-eater again. If you are in the market go with echo hands down far better machine the one I bought recently runs circles around this one and it has a bigger motor and is lighter. I have put many hours on this machine and it has paid for itself. All I can say is you get what you pay for and echo is the way to go. And by the way I use non-ethanol fuel in all my machines so there is no reason for it to have the problems with running stated above.
This thing is an absolute nightmare to start. It's heavy as heck and to get it running you have to navigate a series of continuous hard yanks and pressing buttons (which with carpal tunnel, is a problem for me). It works well once started, but it's beyond annoying to start. Also, the line doesn't feed out easily.
