i used it to restore the plastic on my solar lights they were fade and oxidized
I Made wood signs and stenciled them for my family and uses this to seal in the pain worked great!
I used this black lacquer spray to repaint two shelves. One shelf was in a very "used" condition with many scratches and dings. After painting it looks almost new! The finish dried quickly to a nice hard, glossy finish. Just be sure the surface you decide to paint is well prepared and you'll get great results.
overall I would think it to be a superior product, but is mediocre. It can glog some like a cheapo kinds do.scratching the nozzle with my fingernail is a old technic, then turn upside down and spray a second.Other than that works good if your not impatient and have spray painted before. I'ld give higher rating but think price vs performance is just so so.Basically i got tired of it being out of stock in store AND online so ordered it asap when was in stock.I used a acrylic clear coat 2x over it and looks great.
Add a Rust-Oleum Comfort Spray Grip or you my kill your finger pushing the spray button! Like I did! No joke. The lacquer cover a wood table just fine. Also beware that indoors this spray can choke out everyone in the building. Holy cow, it's really bad—open windows or take it to spray n a deserted hangar at in Arizona.
I spray this on my painted rocks and it protects the paint and adds a nice finish. I wish the can would last longer, though.
Works ok on wood. Orange peel finish must be sanded out and then buffed. It's not something that can just be sprayed and end up with a good finish but with some work it can turn out looking very good.
Do not use under real lacquer. This is acrylic. I'm in the process of sanding down a guitar now because of it.
I shook this paint for at least five minutes. Paint dripped from the can from the start. I also had problems with tip clogging. I shook more turned can upside down to clear tip. Nothing worked!! It also dried matte in some places and glossy in other. Not happy!!
There's very little propellant in can %233.....you know what happens when you run out of lacquer in the middle of a project? IT RUINS THE PROJECT AND COST ME A BUNCH OF $$$$$
