I had heat issues in the wind. I tried some wind guards. When I tried a year or so ago it was sold out. So when I found the hood. It was a lot lighter than I expected. and 4 screws to undo on the housing and replace to attach the hood. I love it it has sped up my cooking times.
Fits perfectly. Good addition to the Blackstone tabletop griddle. Limits the grease spatter, helps steam vegetables. This little griddle makes an awesome burger.
Well made , not out of anyone's budget , easy to clean and a fun new way to learn to cook !

It's a very good giddle. I was surprised how great it works and still provides a great method to cook and maintain a great taste but the cooking options are mutch better.
17" is awesome! Portable and plenty of room for the 2 of us. I think I could manage cooking for 4!
I have not tried the lid yet while cooking, but it fits well, bolted on as designed and looks to be of good quality. It was not necessary to modify the existing grill body in any way, as the fasteners bolted thru existing holes & clearance holes were well placed to clear existing rivets. I am confident the lid will do the job. I also bought a bag for transport & storage that easily holds the grill with cover installed with a bit of extra room for accessories ( hoses, regulator, etc). This hood makes our griddle even more useful than it was before. Keeps the splatter down and the heat in. Couldn't ask for a better product
Installed on 17” Blackstone with rear grease trap; you need 1-1/4 screws and nuts and a 3/4” long spacer, 4 of each. Blackstone should supply these with the hood.
The Griddle Hood DOES not fit on my 17" it clearly says it's for the 17 but it doesn't fit at all.
