I've never had an outdoor griddle before, but I did cook on a commercial flat top griddle back in the days. After reading stuff about how bad charred foods is for you, I started looking at alternative methods to cook outdoor. It came between this and pellet grills, this griddle was a lot cheaper and had awesome reviews. It'll take you a couple of times to get used to it and how quickly the food cooks on it. I wish I had purchased the bigger size though, because I ended up having to buy an outdoor table for it since my patio table wasn't big enough!
Cooking on the Blackstone surface compared to a grill has been a new experience! Meats are juicer and it is so convenient cooking veggies and potato's at the same time on the same surface. We will most likely give up our grill to griddle cooking! The 22inch has ample space to cook many burgers, chicken breasts/thighs while having space for veggies. This was a Father's Day gift for my husband and he loves it!!! I wished it came with some type of a cover. Even a waterproof grill type cover would have been nice. All we got in the box was just the griddle! I would suggest buying the bundle because the stand and cover is hard to find - always sold out!
I LOVE my new 22” tabletop griddle! This is by far the best outdoor cooking experience! I bought my griddle from the Blackstone website and received it in just a few days. Took less than 5 minutes to open, unpack and set up. Literally, it was ready to light in 5 minutes. Followed the instructions on seasoning the griddle before cooking and fried over easy eggs perfectly the first meal! The 22” size is perfect for 2 or 3 or 4 people. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend or family member.
Out the gate, with a fresh seasoning, I was thrilled with it. Over a weekend of camping it did change a little and one corner is no longer flat. My sister in laws big one seems to do it a little to. This thing was the missing piece to being able to cook a little higher end when we camp. Love it.
This is an awesome, well made, portable griddle. The two burners in the 22” model gives flexibility in cooking temperatures. There is plenty of surface to cook a variety of meals for families or yard parties. The thick strip steaks are delicious, amazing fried rice, Ultimate Cheesy potatoes and the famous smash burgers are just a few of the wonderful dishes I've cooked on my Blackstone. I got the carrying case, which makes this griddle hauling to the lake or a family BBQ easy! You won't regret this purchase!
To make this griddle practical you really need a external 20# tank and hose/ regulator. Other than seasoning the griddle top, youll never go bake to a grill again!
Perfect size and weight for a retired couple. Easy to move outside to cook anytime we want. We cooked strip steaks the other night, 3 min per side and they were outstanding. Easy to clean with the rear grease trap.
The grill works amazing. Only issue was the rust around the knobs. Which for a $150 grill it shouldn't be rusted.
I love my new 22' Tabletop Griddle. I purchased the tabletop griddle ONLY. NO hood, NO cover, NO carry bag, NO stand or NO accessories. So far, it has been Awesome! A perfect size for our family. Neither too big nor too small. Light weight. Easy to set up. FUN and EASY to use. Easy to clean. Now, I wish I had the other stuff listed above. I originally purchased this for “exclusive” use while camping in my travel trailer. Well, that quickly changed. I like it so much that I use it at home too. I may need to purchase another one “exclusive” for home use. My rating is 4 out of 5 stars because there is a known issue with using the 17' and the 22' tabletop griddles with the 20lb propane tank instead of the 1lb propane bottles. This issue is not a deal breaker for me because it's easy enough to reset the regulator.
The cooktop didn't fit, was poorly welded, ruined my initial plans to use it. Still waiting for my replacement. Should probably tighten the belt on your QC. The excuse i got about how many you make and sell a month is not an acceptable reason that i recieved a piece of scrap.
