This is a cute kit. My kids were so excited to make pancakes with this. I made my favorite batter and thinned it out a bit, separated into bottles, added coloring and mixed, and cooked on low with the molds. This was a fun activity with my littles. I would recommend for some kitchen and cooking fun with the kids.
My kids love their Saturday morning pancakes. My husband has tried in the past to do fun shapes for them, but they never seem to turn out. This kit makes it super easy and fun to make cool pancakes. It comes with three molds, a bear, a dinosaur and a pig. Those you can fill and make easily. It also comes with directions on plenty of other things to try along with plenty of color coded squeeze bottles. A few tips from my husband: use a griddle if you have one, keep the temp low so they don't get too brown and you can see the shape and color, and thin out the batter a bit for more control. They were fun and the kids loved it!
I received the black stone pancake art kit as part of the spark reviewer program. The kit has 6 bottles each with a different color on it and 3 animal shape molds a bear a dinosaur and a pig. 2 bottles are large and the other 4 I would say are medium sized. We made each bottle the color of batter as what was on the bottle. Using the molds was super easy. You can make pancake art without the metal molds as well and just freestyle it. They're metal and even have a little finer grip to take them off the hot pan. The kit was so easy and my kids had so much fun doing pancake art I would highly recommend the pancake art kit for super easy fun!
The pancake art we had so much fun making our own creations with the pancake art kit it came with three moles and six bottles three large and three small each bottle has its own color coordinated on it it had a dinosaur mold a bear mold, It's very easy to use all you do is mix your pancake mix up you separate them in the bottles you add food coloring and you either do your own creation or you could use the mold we had a long Lotta fun doing it then we give it two thumbs up
Turn boring pancakes into creative, edible art. This kit made breakfast time alot more fun and interactive with the whole family. It came with 3 animal molds which included a bear, dinosaur, and pig and 6 squeeze bottles to put your pancake mix in. Each of the molds have tiny silicone covered handles so you don't burn your fingers when lifting them from the griddle/stove. The concept is very simple, you mix your pancake batter (not included) and then based on how many colors you want, you pour the batter into that many bottles. Then you put your food coloring in each bottle, shake, and you're ready to squeeze your next masterpiece onto your cooktop. All of the bottles are decorated cute with some inspirational designs on them. The batter molds worked great (my batter was too sticky when I made these), and even using the bottles free handed was very easy. It made making breakfast alot more fun and my little one enjoyed picking colors for her animal pancakes. This simple and easy to use kit is great! I received this product in exchange for mu honest review.
With this kit it is a fun way to help your children to fly the imagination for a rich breakfast. It includes 3 molds (a dinosaur, a little pig and a bear) and 6 bottles for the dough (colors red, blue, green, yellow, purple and black). They contain instructions that teach you step by step how to make pancakes of different shapes. My children really liked this idea of making pancakes of different shapes. another way to help kids learn shapes and colors. I really loved this kit
Blackstone pancake art kit is amazing! It includes 3 pancake molds...a bear, a pig and a dinosaur! It also comes with four 8 oz. Bottles for batter to help you make your designs and two 16 ounce bottles for bigger pancakes and used ro fill in! You start with a low heat and outline your drawing. Once it cooks a little, fill it in with another color and let it cook. Once ready to flip...the other side will show your masterpieces!! I definitely recommend this product as it brings so much fun to breakfast time!
This Blackstone 9 pc pancake art set is pretty nice. It definitely takes some practice and a few tweaks to the instructions. First off the molds are big so a good sized griddle is a must. Also, make the batter thicker than you would make regular pancakes, otherwise the colors will run together. Also make sure you spray the molds well or it may not come out. The set is well made and was surprised at how big the molds were. You can use the bottles on their own as well. Just use quickly if you're gonna change colors as the first colors applied will cook quickly and you don't want them to burn.
I said I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. I would if that friend was really into crafts and art. This is not simple or really easy to do. One thing that the instructions don't tell you is one should make the batter used for color a lot thicker than normal. Otherwise it pours out of the bottle with little control. I finally used cooking spray to grease the mold and that worked pretty good. You will need a griddle to do this well. I used my largest skillet and just had enough room. I mixed enough batter for 6 pancakes and it made two pigs. Too much effort for me to really make this work.
First off, the instructions do not tell you how to care for the bottles or the molds. It does not say if you can wash by hand only or you can put in the dishwasher. I ended up putting hot soapy water in the bottles and shook them up really well. I also did this as soon as I finished rinsing out the pancake batter. Another thing that the instructions do not tell you is that you should make the batter used for color a lot thicker than normal. Otherwise it pours out of the bottle with little control. I used butter to grease the mold and still had to kind of push the sides down with a toothpick to get the pancake to come away from the mold. You will need a griddle to do this as most skillets are too small for these molds. I mixed enough batter for 12 pancakes and it made one pig and one bear. You also need to be fast when trying to draw out designs. Otherwise, it will burn or not cook evenly. Enjoyed playing with it and testing it out, but I would not recommend it to anyone. Too much trouble in my opinion.
