This set of silicone molds are the real deal! They are really heavy. The silicone is thick. Because of that they sit nice and firm on the griddle. I do suggest you rub a bit of oil on the inside of the rings and omelette molds.
Works amazingly! So much easier than all of the “Pintrest” ideas to get great egg rings! Definitely would recommend. Works amazingly Even use in pans not just on the black stone. Love that it's made out of heavy duty silicone, and when I say heavy I mean heavy these trays have some heft to them which is great makes them so easy to use! Also love that they are dishwasher safe makes for easy clean up.
After cutting these from the packaging they were a tad bent which is why the eggs went underneath the silicone on the first test. After sitting for a few mins they all flattened out. Recommendation to everyone to be more patient than myself and let them sit out before using! Took a few tries to figure out how to make an omelet. The circle forms were a lot easier for eggs for sandwiches!
First thing I noticed when I opened the package was how sturdy these rings are. The quality is A1! When I used them on the inside grill (it's cold outside) I noticed that the mold held up and no eggs leaked through. I feel like the egg rings could also be used for pancakes too. These rings were easy to use and easy to clean.
I really like these and would definitely recommend them. However, I'm going to express my concerns as well. When I ordered these I didn't expect them to be so big😳. I added a couple of photos next to my hands to give some reference to their size. They are thick and sturdily built. However, I am concerned that in time and with use that these items will possibly dry out and start cracking. Hopefully not, Only time will tell. But it is one of the first things that crossed my mind upon receiving these and seeing how big and thick they were. Their size is an issue in the fact that it is hard to find a place (for me) to store them. They work well so far, and I like using them. Their thickness comes in handy imo anyway. I do really like them and I am glad that I ordered them.
These blackstone omlet and egg acessory product is an excellent companion to the blackstone grill or even a traditional griddle. They are easy to clean and help mark off the flow of eggs. I do wish their was some sort of directions becauae i fwlt silly not knowing exactly how to use the product.
Good idea but it doesn't work. First of all there were no instructions as to how to use this product, After some internet searching I found that a grill is necessary so went out and purchased a grill. As you can see in the photo the eggs simply leaked out around the silicone mold and did not contain the eggs at all.
Unhappy with this product. It is a 3-piece combination set of silicone molds for making eggs on a skillet. It comes with a 2-ring mold and 2 square ones. The goal is to make an omelet in the shape of the mold. Well, I used it at home on my skillet and the eggs leak out the bottom. The whole point is for the eggs to keep a certain shape but it did not happen. The sides of the molds are not flush with the skillet and the egg liquid seeps out the bottom. You have to hold your hands down on the edges to prevent this from happening but that is dangerous with the heat of the fire. I thought this product was a good idea but after using it, I am disappointed.
I REALLY wanted to love these as I make breakfast sandwiches often, and have tried other egg rings/molds that didn't do the job, so have had to use the oven to 'bake' my scrambled eggs in a square pan, then cut to fit. Unfortunately, the circular mold in this set arrived in a permanently bent shape due to poor packaging, so was not usable as egg, or any liquid substance will run out of the bottom. I did try using the rectangular one to make a large scrambled 'sheet' which I could then cut to fit bread, a muffin, biscuit or bagel, however, it allowed all the scrambled egg mixture to leak out of the bottom also... I did try washing in pure hot water and allowing to air dry sitting flat on my counter, but that did not solve the warping issue, so they are not usable.
When I put the egg ring onto the hot griddle, it warped so when you put an egg in it leaks Once off the heat it sits flat again.
