great improvment over the smaller grease trap that came with the Blackstone. Wish the foil pans weren't so expensive. The ones that fit the older versions you can get about 150 for the cost of 20 of these. But still the larger "grease trap" is great, the small slide to block food from escaping into the trap is a great PLUS too. Didn't know I would appreciate it so much !!
Fits great holds at least 4 times as much grease and the little back cover stops it from going wherever it wants to
Well thought out addition to the Blackstone griddle. The grease now goes directly in the collection pan and the lid keeps out the critters and makes it easy to dispose of.
What a great item. Since I already have a Blackstone grill for our camper this will be a great addition to it. Can't wait to try it out on our 1st spring trip. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone else that has the Blackstone table top grill.
perfect fit and functions as advertised.
We bought our 36" Blackstone Grill last year and used it several times for both breakfast foods (scrambled eggs, eggs over easy, hash, hash browns, bacon, and pancakes) as well as for afternoon meals (steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms for grinders; hamburgers when the family was over and we needed to cook them all at the same time; lo-mien with vegetables). My husband was sad when we brought the griddle in for the winter, so I wanted to surprise him with some extras / attachments so he could look forward to spring. This was his favorite from the Blackstone collection of add-ons I got. The small foil ones we used last summer were okay, but the space between the griddle and the mini foil loaf pans allowed grease to fall between them. That is not the case with this "Rear Grease Kit". First it is huge (3 quart) and there is a flippy thing (they call it a grease gate) that snugly fits to the back of the grill. This way the grease goes down the gate, and into the extra large foil liners that have a flip cover on them for disposal. He couldn't wait to hang it on the griddle and test the 'grease gate' and how it all works. Warmer weather is coming, but we are still expecting more snow (it is Maine of course) so he hasn't been able to drag the griddle out of the sunroom to the deck and fire it up. I'm not worried. Blackstone has an excellent reputation and I have never had a Blackstone product that didn't perform above expectations. Next week is Daylight Savings Time and the first day of spring is only a couple of weeks ahead and I'm already looking forward to 'big breakfast' on the griddle. Not necessarily for how good everything tastes, but because my husband does the cooking and there is NO cleanup for me. Yay!!! 5 stars. Blackstone = Quality.
Like the size of the grease collection but disappointed that they do not offer the large disposal containers for sell.
I absolutely love the grease pan. It fits the grill perfect. The picture on the box shows to use it on the front but the one I got hangs on the side. I would recommend this to anyone. It's got throwaway tin pans so no need to have to wash and rinse the metal one. I think that having the grease pan is a great way to catch the grease instead of using something else. Its so convenient.
It's much, much larger than the original. I have the 36" "Carnivore" w/ the built in lid. It works with the lid, however the back of the lid is a hinderance. I may wind up cutting a section of the lid out for better clearance. Even with the previous collection bin, a lot of debris would hang on the lid itself. I also do not care for the moving chute portion. I don't know what purpose it serves. Finally, the stainless steel piece doesn't seem to do anything either. Keep in mind, this did not ship with instructions, so I could only go by the images on the package. Other than that, it is what I needed it to be, a larger bin.
Advertised as fitting a 36". Does not fit a 36" Culinary. The only shortcoming Blackstone has on this model is the poor containment of after cook remnants.
