[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older vitamix and changed it for the ascent specifically to be able to use the bowls and cups. I think it’s such a great investment. I use these cups to make baby food. I’ve never used any of the baby blenders; so I can’t compare. The only “con” would be that you have to blend quite a bit of food. I love the greensprout freezer tray to store the extra.
I switched from Ninja to Vitamix inlarge part because of the 8oz containers. I love these! I use them to make homemade salad dressing, nut butters, tahini, grinding coffee beans and whole flaxseeds and more. I love that you can store the food items right in the container too.
I was nervous about purchasing this product due to alot of negative reviews. Im so happy I made the purchase. I haven't had any problems with my blender not recognizing the bowls. I have made nut butters, grated cheese, salsa, cinammon powder, etc without having any issues.
Love my Vitamix and these are a great accessory for blending small amounts. I use them for chopping onions, herbs, making salsa, breadcrumbs, avocado. Grinding spices etc. The list is endless.
I bought for preparing baby food. The volume is good for them. It works well.
The containers look small but they can be used for so many things. In addition to the usual dressings and dipping sauces, I use it to make tuna salad! I put the mayo in first, tuna and then onion. Turn on my vitamix and I have tuna salad!
I really enjoy having these, I use them to bled up my Garlic, onion, chilies, tomatoes really whatever my recipe calls for that needs to be finely chopped. The reason I am giving it a 4 star and not a five is that the condiments seem to get stuck so I have to shake it up a little to get it going.
Great for small batches of sauce or quick blend jobs. Storage lid also a plus, great to store in same container.
There is a trick to this but it's good. The key for this is to put the items in the bowl, then secure it on and place on base. Once you place it on the base you might notice, the numbers don't light up. Twist the bowl (clear part) to make it tighter as it's on the base. You will then see the numbers light up. This was the kicker and issue for me. These are cool to use if you follow what I said. I realized it's not what I would have thought it would be but i like it a lot. I wanted this mostly to use for almond butter but instead I use it to store almond butter i make in the other jar. The second one I use a lot to make guac and things like that. It's handy.
It is a headache to get them to close or connect to my A3500.... but it is amazing when it works... my favorite is mixed not butter, I use it over apples.
