This is not your typical bathroom scale. It is all high tech-y and it is pretty cool! It not only tells you your weight but your BMI as well. It tracks your weight loss progress (if that is what you’re trying to do) so you can see how you are doing. It connects to your smart phone and it was pretty simple to connect, not too complicated. You download an app and set up from there was fairly easy. It is also bigger that I expected it to be which is a good thing. My husband and I are starting a diet together and we are really excited about being healthier (and to see who does better). This scale is going to be helpful since it tracks our progress without us having to do anything really. Of course if someone wants to simply weigh themselves without using all the other features it does that too. All in all I really like this scale and I will be recommending it to friends and family. It may be a little too complex for some people’s tastes but I think even the least technologically minded would appreciate the features this has to offer.
So I got this very cool, very sleek wireless analysis scale, it's very state of the art! It has many cool features and it has a slim cool appearance, plus it's lightweight and goes unnoticeable. Making it a great add on addition to any modern bathroom. If you're into the latests gadget and a health nut or just want to stay healthy or get in shape, this wireless core body analysis scale is for you! It has many different features you can use to keep your weight on track or if you are getting in shape and have a target weight goal. Before you get started though, you must first download the ihealth 2.0 app on your apple device. Create an account, connect to wifi, then scan the barcode located on the back of the scale so you will be able to sync the scale to the phone using the app, once you've set everything up you will be able to start using the app and scale together, it's an easy step by step process and takes about ten minutes to complete. It's compatible with other phones too, just read the directions on how to set up other phones with the scale, it's simple. The features you can use on this scale is body water, room temperature and humidity, lean mass, bone mass, daily calorie intake, weight, and muscle mass. Each measurements is located on your account on the ihealth app. Just click on weight>trends and all the information will be there for each measurements, it's an easy and fun way to keep track of your daily measurements. This scale has everything you need to set your weight goal, be healthy, and keep your weight in track! I'm so excited to have this now, I'm getting back in shape and this hi tech nifty gadget will help me reach my weight goal!!! Woohoo
When I first opened the box I was so delighted to see the words "You are more than a number, You are Beautiful". I thought that was so creative. The scale itself is so pretty. It's white base, with a glass plate covering and 4 nickel finished circles. This scale will make a statement in any bathroom with it's beautiful sleek design! I was a little skeptical whether or not this would be an accurate scale to measure you body mass. I had purchased something similar a few years back, and it was a complete waste of money. But then, technology has advanced so much in the past few years, so it was worth considering. What I liked about this scale was that it can store up to 200 weight results for each user. When you've reached the 200 limit, it overwrites the oldest ones. This i Health wireless body analysis scale is compatible with your home routers using standard WiFi. Its compatible with your Apple devices using IOS system version 6 or higher. It is also compatible with your android devices 4.0 or higher. You just scan the QR code and download the free "iHealth My Vitals" companion app or download directly from the Apple app store or google play. To start out i pulled out the little plastic tab over the battery. The first time I used it, it read "Set". I was ready then to set it up with my WiFi connection. I scanned the QR code on the back, and then I linked it to my account on my iPhone. The screen walked me through each of the steps pretty easily. I am not a technical person at all. This was pretty much a breeze. Easy to follow steps. I followed the onscreen instructions to register and create my own personal profile. First with my weight...and then my age. This is important to do in order to accurately calculate your BMI measurements. This is important for each person who is going to use the scale to do. I must say, I was a bit weary to finally see my results. Ugh. I have just started my workout program a couple of weeks ago. This scale will definitely help me keep track of how I am doing and my BMI. So much better than a regular scale. This will definitely be a great tool to help me reach my goals. This is a wonderful purchase and tool for anyone who is serious about their weight and body core. And it looks beautiful in your bathroom. I know I will purchase this for my son for Christmas. He works out every day. He will love this!
I received this yesterday and was anxious to give it a try. When I took it out of the box, there was a sticker on the scale that said "You are more than just a number. You are beautiful!" I really liked that, because I think so many of us get hung up on the number and we are so much more than a number, on the scale. Good move, on the companies part. I was a little discouraged, when I pulled out the instruction booklet, because it was really big. I am a stay at home mom, and I don't have a ton of time to read through a booklet, to figure out how to use something, before I am interrupted by the little ones. Thankfully, I realized it was so big, because it comes in many different languages. The instructions were easy to follow and the set up process actually took less than five minutes. It comes with batteries, which is very nice, too. You will need your wifi password, to interact with the Ihealth MyVitals App. I was pleasantly surprised with the Ihealth App, because I have not had the best of luck, lately, with health apps. This app is great and syncs to the scale, every time I use it. The app is easy to use and easy to understand. You can add up to ten users. The weight measurement is accurate and doesn't change constantly, unlike other digital scales. The app interfaces with the other Ihealth products (fitness trackers, etc) and so this is a great addition, to the other Ihealth health items. This scale measures your weight, your BMI and your body composition. It also tells you the temperature and humidity, of the room, it is in, which I thought was cool, because I like my room cool. Good product and I am very happy with it.
This scale will be a very useful tool for meeting my fitness needs. It's weight measurement is equal to the medical scale that we use at work, and it also tells you your fat % and BMI. It syncs with your iPhone, with two different iHealth apps to help you to keep track of your progress. One app has nice lists to show your daily progress. The other creates some nifty graphs to chart your overall trends. It's a really nice compliment to the iHealth Edge pedometer.
I received the iHealth Core Body Analysis Scale free in exchange for an honest review. Immediately when opening the box, I was impressed with the appearance of the scale. It was sleek with a durable structure. There was a sticker that states “You’re not just a number. You are beautiful.” I was impressed. I guess you could say Love at first sight. Since I am in the process of reconstructing my health, I was really excited to receive this scale. This scale provides you with your BMI (Body Mass Index), percent of body fat, percent of water, your percentage of muscle mass, your bone mass, and your daily caloric intake. This scale is compatible with Android and iPhone. The love/hate relationship started during the setup. I followed the instructions as provided and was unsuccessful on numerous occasions. It would have been nice if the instructions would have informed me to download iHealth 2.0 vs iHealth. There are actually two apps in the App Store. I decided to use the QR scanner and that is when I noticed I had downloaded the incorrect app. I immediately uninstalled and downloaded the correct app. After my third attempt of uninstalling and reinstalling, I was finally able to get it to work. Once the scale starting working, I was in love all over again. I definitely recommend this scale. It is a great innovation and makes my old scale look useless; however, I will continue to use both to compare the data.
While I got off to a rough start with his product, I ended up very satisfied with it! When I received the iHealth Core Body Analysis Scale, all of the instructions indicated I should try to connect it via Bluetooth. After several frustrating attempts to do so, I contacted Customer Service who informed me the instructions included with this product were incorrect. They easily showed me how to connect the scale via WiFi and also pointed me in the direction of the correct app from the App Store to download as I had downloaded the incorrect one (note: this scale requires the iHealth app with the orange icon that is listed under iPhones only, although I downloaded to my iPad with no issues). The Customer Service team (I spoke to two individuals) were incredibly helpful and kind. I easily connected it to my Wi-Fi, scanned the bacode on the back of the scale so it would sync, set it up and stepped on. It took less than 5 minutes once I knew what to do. The app will capture your weight and trends over time, which is a nice feature. Because this is the only iHealth product I own, I can also manually capture other vitals such as Blood Pressure and Pulse. The scale will capture weight, body fat % and BMI. I believe all of the measurements were accurate based on recent measurements I’ve received at the gym. The design of the scale is nice – very sleek and thin, looks great in my updated modern bathroom! The price point is higher, but you’re getting a lot of features that aren’t in a standard scale, yet it’s cheaper than going to gym and having a personal trainer provide these same measurements! It’s also nice to have the capability in your own home to track and monitor body fat % and BMI on a periodic basis. Overall, I would highly recommend this scale. Just make sure you know have the proper instructions before you start!
The iHealth core body analysis scale came well-packaged and looks fantastic. It's a very sleek scale and has a contemporary and modern look. Turning on the scale and syncing it to my wireless network was very straight forward and downloading and using the app was no problem as well. What's nice is that you can create multiple accounts / sync up different devices to the scale so everybody in the family can have their own profile. The scale automatically can identify who is on the scale (as long as the weight difference is somewhat different between users) and the data readings of the users automatically get uploaded to the app. What's nice about the scale as well as the app is that it shows your data over the course of time. In a world where data is knowledge and that knowledge allows you to make decisions, having your core body metrics measured as a function of time benefits me a lot. It motivates me to eat healthier and also find ways to manage my numbers (BMI, weight, muscle mass, water weight etc...). This is definitely a fancy scale that will work out well for anybody wanting to take better care of themselves.
Based on the initial Walmart description for this product, persons with android phones might be lured into thinking their phone is compatible with this technology. However that description should have been rewritten, because this system has very specific device requirements for it to work. In fact this shouldn’t have even been marketed as a scale, but rather as an add-on feature for a phone, iPod and iPad. However, that’s not the end to their requirements. It also won’t work with just any Wi-Fi network. On the healthlabs.com website, regarding Android devices, it requires an operating system of a 3.0 or later. On the Quick Start Guide, enclosed in the box, is a list that includes Android devices using a 4.0 or higher system version, as well as specifications for Apple devices using iOS system version 6.0 and higher. I felt that the instruction guide was written for people already familiar with the system. Using abbreviations and not having their definitions handy or some diagram with arrows, left me feeling stymied. And leaving out pertinent instruction, made me feel like I was starting on step 3 instead of step 1. Before I list the requirements, let me give you a heads up on other details that might influence your buying decision. 1. There is no button on the scale to turn it on or off. It stays on all the time, draining the four 1.5V AAA batteries. 2. If you should be so lucky as to have the right devices and get it going, the manual states that this product could interfere with the functioning of pacemakers, electric life support systems and electrocardiographs. 3. The measurements are displayed and stored, not on the scale itself but on an iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad. So if you were thinking of using it as a simple scale, forget it. 4. Magnetic devices such as microwaves might damage the scale as well as causing inaccurate readings. So I’m wondering, what else in my house is a magnetic device? 5. The scale stores up to 200 weight results for each user. But when the memory has reached its capacity, it erases the oldest weight records. 6. This scale is designed to last for two years of use or 10,000 measurements. 7. This device generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy that may cause harmful interference to your TV reception and/or radio communications. (So leave this device at home. Don’t take it on the boat with you.). There is no guarantee that it won’t anyway. They have four suggestions for you to follow in case it happens. 8. The company will repair or replace the device under warranty if you obeyed their instructions. However, you might have to pay for the postage to get it to their repair shop. When I bought a Panasonic microwave, the thing stopped working after eleven months and they refused to replace it. My only option was sending their defective merchandise back to them at my own expense. Just saying this as an example because iHealth Lab Inc. doesn’t specify this. 9. There seems to be some concern for pregnant women using this device. They’re told to talk to a doctor before using the unit. 10. Certain health conditions could affect the hydration levels that may lead to an inaccurate record. 11. This devise won’t be operational if you are over 400 pounds. 12. When you are ready to turn this device into a junkyard dog, you can’t just throw it in the trash. You have to contact a waste disposal facility for electronic waste. 13. If you can live with these limitations, then please read the following specifications. In order for this device to work, your phone must be connected to 802.11b or g, not n, and a 2.4Ghz network.'' Compatibility is subject to change, but these devices currently work with the system: Apple iOS devices (requires iOS version 5.0 or higher), iPhone 6/6 Plus, iPhone 5S/5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad 4th Gen, iPad 3rd Gen, iPad 2, IPod Touch 5th Gen, iPod Touch 4th Gen. Android devices (requires operating system 3.0 or later): Samsung Mega 6.3, Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G9008V, Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500, Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505, Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I9300, Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-1535, Samsung Galaxy Note3 SM-N9006, Samsung Galaxy Note2 SCH-I605, HTC One M7, HTC Droid DNA, LG Nexus 4, LG Nexus 5. Before you purchase this item, go to www.ihealthlabs.com for an updated list of compatible devices and Wi-Fi networks. I gave the product two stars because the correct information I needed, was not easily available and was even misleading, resulting in wasting my free item choice. Also the product's needs are too selective in what devices and WiFi that can be used. If they had the option where the consumer could go to either their phone or their computer or if it worked off the wireless connection of the home instead of the phone, then I probably would have given it more stars.
This sounds great and I wished it worked for me. I was able to get the app on my phone and it works fine with the iHealth Lab Wireless Blood Pressure Wrist Monitor I have but that uses bluetooth and this uses your wifi connection. I even got the scale to say it was connected to my wifi but when I use it, I get nothing on my phone (see the video where the wifi connection is solid and not blinking). If I hit the start button for the scale on my phone, I just get a moving circle for about a half second and then nothing happens. I can use the scale and it does seem accurate but the body fat percentage never shows anything, just lines and then it goes back to weight. I tried with dry feet and just out of the shower and I get nothing. I can tap the bottom left or right of the scale and it will show me the room temperature and relative humidity (see pictures) so that is something but without it connecting to the phone app, I really just have a normal digital scale with a couple bonus features. I know my phone is listed as one of the phones that should work (Galaxy Note 3) but I have read that there are issues with Android 5.0 (which I have) and I have also heard that it won't work with Comcast internet. I am hoping they will figure out what the issues are in future updates because I really want this to work. Another Issue I have is customer service is only open 9am-5pm Mon-Fri PT and I work 12pm-8pm ET Mon-Fri so I can never call them when I am at home. They should have longer hours or at least a few hours on the weekend.
