I've never been disappointed with any Bob's Red Mill product that I have purchased since going gluten free a year ago!
Guar gum is great for gluten free baking and is a fine alternative to xanthan gum. The latter is a corn parasite and is not best for corn allergic people. I use the guar gum in recipes for rice bread and for garbanzo bread.
Exactly as described. Shipping was expedient. Swanson exceeds expectations. Will use them for similar purchases in the future.
I bake gluten free for our local farmers market. The guar gum allowed me to add just enough to hold everything together while keeping it light. I am so glad Bobs sells their gums!
I had to replace xantham gum due to stomach issues and thought to give guar gum a try. It worked beautifully in my gluten free baked goods and my stomach is a lot happier.
Absolutely loved it. Tried gnocchi with zantham gum but they didn't turn out. Recipe called for guar gum. Absolute game changer! My gnocchi tasted like the real thing. I used a keto gnocchi recipe. Will definitely make this again and use this is different recipes I have. Will be ordering different other things from you as I learn to make these new recipes. Got it pretty quickly and you have so much I can't find in a grocery store. Thanks so much!!
I needed a thickener to thicken room temperature wheat-grass juice. Just 1/8th tsp thickens one oz. of juice. I was concerned that Guar Gum was going to be expensive to use, but it is so efficient, the cost per use is very low.
Quick delivery, but tale in consideration that the shipping cost more than the item.
Experimenting with creating my own meatless burgers, using rye flakes ( obtained from a brewer's supply ) as the main ingredient, I sought something that would help to bind the mixture together. Deciding to give guar gum a try, I have been pleased with the results and I will certainly continue to employ it in this process.
Thanks to Guar Gum I am able to bake any gluten free cake!
