I have been using these for donkey's years and love them. The tiny little applicators that usually come in eye shadow cases just don't cut it for me, so I always replace them with these. I normally use one of these with three different shades of eye shadow. You've got four surfaces, two on either end, so why not? The shadow goes on very smoothly and the pointed end helps with any dark shadow you may want at the lash line. I tend to use a eyeliner, but then use the darkest shade of eyeshadow and one of these applicators to "set" it. They last a good long while, but they are so inexpensive you can afford to get more any time. There's not a whole lot more I can say except that I really love these Dual Tip Applicators.
I have a confession to make... I am an eyeshadow hoarder. Meaning, I have a bin stacked full of more eyeshadow palettes than I could ever use and have gone through countless eyeshadow brushes and sponge applicators over the years as a result. These Dual Tip applicators by Essential Tools are great for applying eyeshadow. Use the flat side of the sponge to shade eye lid and the pointed end to line lash line. You can even use them with a liquid concealer to cover blemishes. They're lightweight, compact, and resilient. They also wash and dry easily with a little bit of make-up remover or dishwashing liquid. A 24 pack of these will yield 12 sticks with two heads. They are short, but ample in size. I got these in mind for small gluing swipes. That is, for applying glue in a thinner more even coat of adhesive than if I just squeezed the glue out. I was after a more even coating of the pieces that I am adhering. These are great for that, when those foam brushes are too large to fit the project that you are working on. These mascara sticks do the job very well, & the 'pointed' tip allows me to put glue into tighter spots, with the same piece. Washout is very good, as any foam piece would be. I certainly don't expect them to last forever as they are pretty disposable, but I can see them lasting quite some time. As mascara applicators, the honey likes them very well. Gliding smoothly over her eyes, holding on to the product as they should, not a lot of effort needed to put forth in using them. I really like that they are double packaged. The outer display package & an internal one which has some adhesive on it to reseal it. This way they aren't going to get wet or dirty when they are sitting around. I like to have as much as I can, do multiple tasks. Though these are small, I can use them (with an extension), for cleaning the printer rollers & platan, as well as solo, using them to detail the inside of the vehicle; better getting into the tiny nooks & crannies.
I received the Essential Tools Dual Tip Applicators, (12 count) for free through the Walmart Spark Review Program. I love to wear eye make up and I am always having to replace the applicators that come with my eye shadow. The applicators that come with the shadows are always drying up and crumbling or just falling apart in general long before the shadow needs to be replaced. The first thing I noticed is that the Essential Tools Dual Tip Applicators have a great velvety feel to them. I tried to yank the applicator tips off the see if they were sturdy and they passed that first test with flying colors. They have a great shape to them and I felt I had great control with them putting on my favorite shadow colors. I was able to make thin and bold lines with these applicators. They also work great wet or dry. The only negative I have is that they are a bit long and don't fit in my shadow compact so I have to lay them across my shadow colors and carefully close the compact so I don't break the shadow colors from the pressure of having the applicator on them.
There are many things to like about these brushes. The kit contains 12 brushes so you have plenty to use. They are doubles sided s you have twice as many uses but it's extra handy for applying two different colors at the same time. They are decent sized and you can use for eye shadow, highlighting and liner on water line. They are not of real high quality but overall, great for the price.
These sponge applicators are much better than the cloth ones I've used in the past. Immediately you can feel the difference in the tips. It is a little harder to get the eye shadow to rub onto the sponge but I believe this is a bonus. It allows the make up to be more concentrated and you don't get the crumbs when you rub the shadow like with the typical cloth tips. They are slimmer and much better for specific lines like when shading the crease of your eye for accent. It also blends the colors nicely without wiping the color off. I feel these sponge tip applicators are better than the classic tips. The fact that there is 12 in the packet makes it a plus as well. Normally I have to reuse sides for different colors and it ends up mixing into the colors previously, even if I wash/clean them off. With 12 double sided applicators, I have more than enough tips to cover all my different shades without having to mix sides and colors if I don't want to.
These are nice dual ended eyes shadow applicators. I like having the dual ended ones, because I mostly use the eye shadow combos with 4 or more colors in them. They are much softer tips then some of the other ones I have tried. These tips have a little bit of flexibility in them. I have had ones in the past that are too stiff, and it makes it harder to get the shadow on the nicely, and apply it to the eye lid. In my opinion, it is easier to apply the eye shadow of the tip has flex in it. These applicators also have a nice foamy tip. It puts the shadow on the eye lid nicely. I have had some applicators that have a tip that almost feels like micro fiber. They do not slide across the eye lid as nicely, even if the lid is not oily. The applicators come in a little bag that reseals with sticky glue. I do wish they came in either one of the types of holders that separates them and it looks kind of like a pack of matches, or a better bag, maybe at least a zip lock one. Bottom line: I would recommend them.
If you have a lot of different eyeshadow pallets as most of us do these days, these consumable applicators may be just your thing. They have an applicator on each end, so while there are 24 in the pack, that doubles to 48 using each end for a different color. They are also in a resealable pack enclosed in the original one. When I used this on one eye and compared it to a brush I applied on the other eye, I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly this went on and how blendable it was. Another good thing about these is just toss them when they get dirty.
The Essential Tools Dual Tip Applicators (12 count) are good for applying eye shadow or concealer. According to the direction, it states: use Essential Tools Dual Tip Applicators' flat side to shade eye lid and pointed end to line lash line, or add accent colors. Use to cover blemishes with powder or cream concealer and blot area. Prior to using these, I was just using q-tips/cotton swabs or my fingers. The problem with using my finger was that I felt like sometimes it was kind of unclean and that I was spreading germs on my eyes by doing so. The problem with using q-tips/cotton swabs is the fact that sometimes the cotton is loose and makes application not precise. Also the cotton swabs sometimes take away most of the product. The best thing about these essential tools dual tip applications is that fact that you could use both sides, which is really handy and convenient (especially if you are applying makeup on the go, these come handy if your makeup bag). Also, these are reusable so you could reuse these. After each use, just wash the applicator with water and mild soap and let it air dry. However, use your best judgment to know when to replace it when necessary. One thing that I didn't really like about these were the fact that they were black. It makes it hard to see what I am applying, which is why I prefer it to be white/beige.
My package was delivered empty, as in no product! I paid $6 for nothing!
