I saw two 1-star reviews on this product, so felt compelled to defend it. Bodytech Casein Cookies & Cream is a great product and the taste is great to me. I mix it with water and either shake it or use a fork. I really love the thick consistency and mildly sweet taste. I tried ON Casein in Vanila and Chocolate, and I must say I prefer Bodytech's casein due to thicker consistency and great taste.
I disagree with the others and actually think this product tastes pretty good. Where it really shines, though, is mixing. This product mixes way easier than any other casein I've tried. A really solid protein at a good price.
Not sure why the review are bad. The taste is great with milk, mixed with fruits etc. Maybe everyone was expecting a sweet cookies and Cream Blizard. If you have been drinking protein shakes for a while. This one tast great as it should for a protein shake... not as a sweet Ice cream flavor.
I don't know why the reviews are so bad, I think this tasted decent. Not amazing, but good and worth the price point. It blended just fine for me, and I didn't even use my blender ball or Jacks. No clumps or grittiness. I'm pretty happy with this casein.
I've had Casein many times before. It's not as flavorful as Whey, I know that, but this Bodytech line was really terrible. Worst I've had of any protein powder from them. The flavor is non-existent, it's like an aftertaste. This Casein is very medicinal in flavor...while not "plug your nose" bad, it's basically flavorless. I actually returned my bottle, I couldn't tough it out (nor should you for $30). Avoid this one.
Horrible taste. The cookies and cream whey isolate was delicious so I bought this expecting similar taste. They are not similar at all. The casein tastes very bland and has a horrible smell to it. I would avoid this flavor completely.
this is the worst casein shake ive ever had. i only bought it because it was on sale. this was the first time i used their brand. the smell was horrible. it feels like baking flour and it is impossible to mix. ive tried milk, water, mixing it with ice cream in a blender but nothing works.DO NOT BUY THIS ONE.
Purchased the single serving from the store today and it's flavor profile is not great. It's not disgusting to the point were you want to throw it out, but it's not something I would want to have everyday either. It tastes like the nasty cookies and cream protein bars you can buy just about anywhere. It tastes doughy and not in a good way.
DON'T GET ME WRONG, BODYTECH MAKES GOOD PRODUCTS. (Faithful user) BUT, I use this product because it is a slow absorbing protein. I drink a shake before bed time to keep feeding my body throughout the night.The cost was at a good price, but the cookies n cream flavor tastes terrible. Smells like sweat or feet odor when mixed. Also the mixability was terrible. Always had to use the blender to mix. Shaker cup with ball never seemed to mix it.
Oh man, I?m definitely not one to complain about the flavor profiles of protein powders as you can?t expect them to be perfect. For me personally, I?m just looking for a flavor that I can tolerate, but I cannot stomach the taste of Cookies & Cream at all! Bodytech needs to discontinue this flavor ASAP or send it back to the lab to get fixed. I?ve tried many different protein powders from different brands, over the years and this is by far the worst tasting. Luckily I picked up the Rich Chocolate flavor during the BOGO - and that leaves a much better taste in my mouth.
