This mosquito beater repellent works very well! It treats 4000 square feet, is pleasantly scented, and lasts up to 3 weeks! It is people and pet safe when used as directed. When using, broadcast granules on the ground directly from the container, or with a lawn spreader, dust gun, or hand crank duster. Make sure to treat the area an hour prior to occupying when possible. This works best if used in small areas that are quiet and have relatively still air. Apply at a rate or 5.2 ounce per 1000 square feet. Rain, temperature, and wind may affect effectiveness. When the area becomes infected, repeat application. I have been using this for around our porch in the evening, and around a small space in our yard for when we have our water parks set up. We have mosquitos extremely bad here, and end up with bites all over within minutes of being outside. When I apply this, we don't get bit one time! The only time I've had to reapply is if it's been going on 3 weeks, and if we had rain or strong winds. I have tried a ton of different repellents, none of them worked as good as this does!
We just moved to a new house this fall. The previous owners loved having a ground cover everywhere. With that though comes mosquitoes everywhere! Oh my gosh, you can't even take a step outside without mosquitoes hovering and consequently biting. With this super easy to use granules, I can just sprinkle it on the ground cover and not have to worry about mosquitoes anymore. This product doesn't have a strong odor either. We're all happy to go outside and enjoy being out there! No one likes to spray bug spray on their skin, so this is a much better option!
The first I notice about the Mosquito Beater is the lovely smell. It reminds me of lavender and lilac. The product is a soft powdery grain. I spread it around my back yard sitting area. It didn't harm the grass. We didn't experience any Mosquito flying around us. My guests kept commenting about how nice it smelled outside and wondered where what I used. The nice thing about this repellent is that the whole container covers it up to 4000 sq ft, which is more than the size of my back yard. And the coverage lasts up to 3 weeks. I used about 5oz which covered 1000 sq ft. The treatment starts about 1 hour after application. There's a warning that rainfall, temperature, and wind may affect how well the repellent will work. I didn't experience any of that. It worked well and the pleasant aroma was a plus.
Helped within minutes of spreading it. Has a nice fresh and pleasant scent. The container came well sealed to prevent loss during shipping. Easy to use shake too bottle or screw off and put it in your spreader to cover larger areas.
We have a small garden pond and our home is surrounded by woods with a creek. The mosquitos are invasive! My teen and I get bit up like crazy, and the bites swell, making summer evenings difficult to enjoy. I also have a cat and a toddler, that run all through out the yard, so I have to be careful with what I use. Enter this product. I sprinkle it around my pond, porch, and patio, and can actually enjoy myself. Bonide is a brand I purchase products from often, and I'll continue to do so, as I haven't run into a bad product yet. While I can't say that it lasts 3 weeks, it does work very well! (Also, this is my 3rd container, and each one has only been half full, yet weighed 1lb as it should).
It's that time of year again and we get mosquitoes so big they can carry you away in Texas so we're all looking for help! This stuff is ok - it won't get rid of mosquitoes, let's be realistic - it's a never ending fight but it helps. I would recommend that you keep an eye on weather and make sure you have no rain coming your way when you use it. It does help minimize the blood-sucking critter population. I wouldn't say I was wowed by it because when my husband fogs our patio area, stuff immediately does but this does take a while and helps but does not make drastic changes. We like to use this in addition to a zapper and fogging now.
The mosquito grain is in a good size pour container (1.3lb), comes a good amount inside a container very little empty space. It does not smell like strong chemical, but have a pleasant is smell off and essential oils. Choose a touch it looks, and feels like tea grounds. Unfortunately, this time of the year there’s not many mosquitoes around here but I sprayed around the porch that I hang out every evening and no mosquitoes flew over the barrier. I cannot tell for sure if it is the chemical or if it’s the time of the year, but I do not have any mosquito bites. The container claims to treat up to 4000 ft.². And last up to three weeks… the gradients seems pretty mild for humans, so I imagine extended contact, or the inhalation of the fumes would not be a problem.
i just opened it, it is less then half empty, no way is there a pound in there! if i could give no stars i would! id rather gave my money back! dont waste yours! i help it up to the window you can clearly see thats not even half way. i even shook it just incase it settled during shipping.
I bought 2 bottles of this and they were not sealed and they were both almost half empty
Seems like I received a used product. The pour part of the lid was open and there was no seal. The container only seemed to be half full.
