In full transparency, I don't have diabetes myself, but I was immediately drawn to the low sugar content (just 1 gram) since that is something I actively monitor regardless. The healthy amount (30 grams) of protein also caught my eye since I wanted a protein-rich post-workout drink. With that said, I was a little concerned about how it would taste originally, but these concerns were completely unfounded - In fact, this is easily one of the best-tasting protein shakes I've ever tried. This protein drink is design for people with diabetes but I'm looking to lower my intake of sugar for weight loss, so this was great for me to try. I like that it has the vitamins and minerals that I need and yet have the protein meant to help control my hunger. I also like that they are ready to drink. I don't mind mixing my own, but it is a time saver to just grab a bottle and go. The protein drink tastes like chocolate milk and smells like those nutritional drinks that you give kids. Its does leave a dry and chalky taste in my mouth after but its not too bad. I think I like it. It seem to do a good job filling me up to manage hunger.
