I love these bottles for a couple of reasons. Not only are they BPA free making them much safer for my baby, they are also glass which I love because their are no other toxins as with plastic. The Glass is not at all flimsy, very very durable. I dropped one in the kitchen and it bounced! A very good choice for baby!
Well my son has GERD , first we tried the Dr.Browns bottles they help a little but he still seemed have colic and gas, then a friend suggested these bottles and my son did a 360, he was so much happier and had a lot less gas. They are very pricy but it was worth it bc the less crying he did the less stress on me. Only thing i broke one bc i am clumsy but other wise they are great and i just wash them on the top rack of my dishwasher (by themselves though). Plus No BPA or and other harmfull chemicals found in plastic. Overall Great product remember nothing is perfect!!!
very heavy duty w/ ease of grip bottle. the system to reduce gas seems to help. my daughter latches on easily and doesn't want to let go!
These bottles a wonderful. They're very durable and the venting works like a dream. My son was using a Nuk bottle and nipple, but because of the type of plastic used in those I changed to glass, the nipples are different in shape, but my son loves them. I would most definitely recommend these to others.
My 8 month old and 2 1/2 years old girls were on Avent. We always heat their bottles, with all the bad things I hear about heating plastic bottles and BPA. I ordered a dozen of these for my two girls. I got it yesterday. So far they were easy to set up and my girls took them immediately, I didn't have to worry about the nipple difference. These are expensive but it makes me feel better that I am giving my girls the healthy solution. I'm hoping that my 8 month old's eczema will get better by switching over to glass.
I have not used this bottle yet, but it comes recommended. Other than it being glass and a bit heavier, it should work fine. Just be aware that when you place an order for this it is just ONE bottle, not two, like the photo shows.
I wanted to use glass bottles since there are so many contaminants in plastic (BPA, phthalates and who knows what else!) I've tried Evenflo glass (no vents) and Dr. Brown's glass (vents, but leaks badly if you shake it). I'm thrilled that the Born Free bottle has a venting system that does not leak when shaken! And despite what I heard prior to purchasing this bottle, the vent system is not difficult to clean at all as long as you have a nipple brush (my munchkin bottle brush came with one). - Finding a nipple soft enough for my breastfed baby has been quite a challenge. Thankfully, the nipple on the Born Free bottle is incredibly soft so she doesn't end up pushing it out of her mouth when eating! The base of the nipple also benefits from the softness of the silicone, allowing her to latch properly. And it is a slow flow nipple which is is just perfect for breastfeeding babies. - The glass is nice and thick, so while it does lend a bit of weight to the bottle (when compared to its plastic counterparts), it is very durable. The glass is thicker than the other glass bottles that I've tried. It is also the only glass bottle I've tried that has indentations to make it easier to hold (which are well placed for everyone who has tried feeding her with this bottle). - Overall, I love it! The high quality workmanship makes it worth every cent!
