[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave is very modern looking and super powerful! I'm so glad I can use the microwave as a convection oven. It doesn't use as much energy. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that the noise of the timer could be louder and the noise of the vent to the exhaust hose could be quieter , you can constantly hear the flapping. I want to finish by saying I love it when the applicants has a Bosch logo. I like to show it off.

The three dimensional design of the rear wall reflects light and adds to its appeal. The LED lights illuminate the cook surface well and the vents do a great job of handing cooking smoke/fumes. The Bosch is not just a microway but a convection oven as well. This frees up counter space by eliminating a duplicate appliance. We did not appreciate this feature at purchase but have come to really appreciate it. The control panel is easy to read and use. Installation was a snap with instructions and templates. Great value/cost proposition.

This unit is a microwave, convection oven, and hood all in one unit. I don't usually do more than heat things with a microwave. The convection feature changes that. For small meals, I can use the microwave to bake, roast, or air fry without wasting the energy of heating up the large oven.

The inside is always visible and reminds me of the old diners with the patterned metal walls. It's quiet and easy to use AND to keep clean. There's plenty of room and it comes with 2 racks. So happy that I bought it and that I went all Bosch appliances in my new kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My conventional oven/ microwave is doing well. I agree with others, the font size needs to be bigger on touchpad. Can the e boo era create a clear magnifying film to help enlarged font???? Door closes with ease. Keypad could use some one touch speed buttons (1= 1 min, 2=2min, etc.). Learning that you can scrimp on cook time for convectional cooking, but not temp. Beeper should have a low med and high for volume with repeated ring(this one rings once, then clears display). Let's see how it lasts in a year.
This HMV8053U performs very good in terms of microwave and convection cooking. I used the convection for cooking small chicken pieces and pork chops and result was as good as the bottom big oven. Rating would be 5 stars has it not for the following. 1) There is plenty of oil dripping down from the front body of the microwave (seen with door opened) Also some at the lower door hinge. This is the first time I experience such. I was surprised by that as none of the reviews here mentioned this. I purchase it based on the good reviews posted here. 2) Also the plastic tab that is part of the grill grid connecting to the microwave just broke by itself. 3) The bottom part of the door handle became loose (can be moved left and right) after just few months. Overall it is still OK.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading other reviews, we appear to be having the same issue as many others with the top paneling just falling off on it's own! It's happened now twice in the two years since installing. Not sure why Bosch isn't standing behind their product and is making the consumer pay out of their own pocket for what is clearly a defect on Bosch's part. The product really need to be recalled, the first time it broke it fell on me while cooking! Used all Bosch appliances in past 2 kitchen remodels, will need to switch, quality has gone downhill.
The top section of this microwave is secured by 4 small plastic clips. I have replaced the part once, and it's broken again. Something as simple as wiping it down causes the clips to snap. Microwave works well and the exhaust fan is one of the best I've seen. I just cannot recommend purchasing due to these clips.
