Thus, after our usual research and keeping our budget in mind, this dishwasher was definitely the winner for us! We have owned it for about 2 months and use it almost 5 days a week. Here's why we love it: It's soooo quiet, it cleans like a clean freak's dream, capacity is great and has a wide variety of washing options. Side note - No weird smells like we read in some other reviews. Overall, it's a thing of beauty and functionality all in one. You do need to understand a few basics like how to properly load a dishwasher and best use of each setting, but those pieces are not overly complicated. I would highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've bought so many dishwashers over the years that didn't work, that when I got this one and I didn't have to have my dog do the pre-rinse, and the dishes are fully dry at the end of the cycle, I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't in heaven! Thank you Bosch for a great appliance! I hope in 8 years, when I might need a new one, to return to Bosch again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our Bosch dishwasher! It is very quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning in less time than our previous dishwasher. Simple control panel works great. It is magnitudes better in all aspects than our previous 3 year old dishwasher.
We replaced a KitchenAid with the 800 Series and couldn't be happier. I installed it and noticed the quality engineering and attention to detail given to this design. I especially liked being able to adjust the back legs from the front of the machine....nice touch! My wife was most impressed with the interior racks and overall layout. During run time, it is noticably quieter than our previous dishwasher and our glasses dishes and utensils are like "sanitized". We expect it to give us years of good service.

The interior has a clean look with stainless steel tub. Easy to load and really like the hidden buttons. The red light shining on the floor to confirm it is running is a good idea because it's so quiet you don't know if it's actually on! Definitely satisfied with our purchase.

I have put in stainless steel pans with stuck on egg residue, dried on cheese residue, just plain dried on food and pretty much the stuff you always had to scrub before you put them in the dishwasher. I have not pre-washed anything. Have tried pretty much anything I can to have a dish, pot, pan or glass be dirty at the end of cycle but everything comes out squeaky spotless clean. A few plastics have come out damp but not wet.....Worth every penny!

We especially like the top tray for flatware as it frees up other space below, and it is very convenient to unload right from the tray to our flatware drawer next to the dishwasher. The installation was very straight forward. I followed the instructions to the letter, and the install went perfectly.

I have been absolutely overwhelmingly pleased with both of them. This dishwasher is unbelievably quiet. It does a great job, cleaning the dishes and drying them as well. I highly recommend purchasing this dishwasher!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, there are a couple of annoying drawbacks. The dishwasher gets stuck on default settings and it can be tricky to make them adjustable again. You have to reset it AND power it off and on. Happened on first initial try and twice since then over the month I've had it. Having 3 racks can be a pain. Space is at a premium and it doesn't take much to fill up. You can store silverware on the 3rd rack and/or the basket that comes with it, but large cooking utinsils can interfere with the 3rd rack being used for regular utensils from stacking. I find myself either removing the 3rd rack completely or removing the basket completely. The good thing is that if I need to wash like 50 knives, 50 spoons, 50 forks, and 50 pairs of chopsticks, 3rd rack has this covered, and the adjustable 2nd rack makes things a bit easier. Last drawback is that the shelves come out way too easy when pulling them out. You need to pull them out with a downward force if they are empty or it'll stay in your hand. It's not a big issue, but it does give a "cheap" feel. That being said removing and inserting racks is really easy. As for the plusses... I see why they put a red light on it. You really can't tell when it's on. I have to hold my hand on the door and feel the vibrations to confirm the red light isn't lying to me. Its a ridiculous level of quiet. No scrubbing necessary. I gradually increased the "dirtyness" level up to no rinse at all and as long as you're not exceeding the capacity of the dishwasher or enclosing something right up and touching, or inside of something else, it'll get clean. No pre-rinsing or washing necessary. That being said, the more food you put in there, the more often you'll have to clean out the filter, but that's no biggie. I recommend to just scrape off loose food into garbage or compost and "store" the dirty dish in the dishwasher. You can let it soak in the sink but it's really not necessary. You can put plastic cups on the bottom without fear of warpage. It dries really well. They recommended adding rinse aid. I agree if you have hard water. Not using it isn't a big deal though. Still does the job well. They push hard for this "Finish" brand.... but Cascade works just as well. I cannot tell a difference. Was pretty easy to install. Very straightforward. Just make sure to route cable and hoses to correct side before putting it under counter. Overall, always double check your foot light and you'll be good to go. It's not perfect and there's plenty of room for improvement, but it's still a solid buy and the plusses far outweigh the negatives.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall we are pleased with our Bosch 800 series Dishwasher. It does a great job of cleaning our dishes and drying them, and it's also very quiet. We like the sleek look. The reasons for 4 starts instead of 5 is that it's hard to fit our dishes in efficiently. We have 11 inch dinner plates, but it doesn't leave enough room for us to load the plates with something else beside them. We don't have room to use the top third shelf because of water bottles, so we took that out. Also, there is an unsettling burning rubber smell that makes us worried. We hope this smell fades with use. Otherwise, it's a great machine so far! P.S. The red light that glows on the floor while it's running is genious!
