[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great oven combo - the big oven is very powerful with a fast preheat and excellent convection fans. Very nice looking. The small oven is a little hard to clean the back which gets dirty if you have kids that microswave a lot of stuff.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had several high end brands of ovens over the years and have found this design to be superior in many ways. Both upper and lower have separate oven cook mode selectors that are intuitive and easy to read. The interior lighting is excellent and what more can be said about the quick preheat - unbelievable. Internal heat temperatures are consistent making multishelf baking and cooking a breeze. Shelving is easy to remove and clean. The info center chiming is audible but not annoying. The oven appearance is modern but blends well with our more traditional style. The oven configuration allowed us to install with minimal changes to the existing cabinetry. Great product in both design and performance.
We're surprised at the negative reviews. Our unit was installed a few weeks ago and so far, we love it! Hopefully, we'll feel that way in 5-10 years from now. It looks awesome and has many great features, some of which we haven't tried yet. It is super easy to use. The advanced features that we have used are pretty intuitive. We feel we definitely made a great choice in choosing Bosch and this specific combination oven.
I really do love this combination unit. The large oven door window is especially nice. My only complaint is that I can barely hear the buzzer signaling cooking time is complete. I have hearing issues so can barely hear it. I need to use my phone as a timer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the standard oven and the microwave/oven work well. I was a little disappointed to find out tha this particular model did NOT have the airfryer. Given the price I would have thought it did. One thing that is inconvenient is that the top microwave door opens folding forward, and not sideways like most regular microwaves. It make getting items out of the oven awkward.
I've just begun using my new microwave/oven and so far, am very happy with my purchase. I really enjoy all the wonderful features offered by the Microwave such as Speed Cook, Auto Defrost, Pizza. The appliance is very easy to program and use. As other people have said, the "ding" announcing completion of a function is very soft and if not standing in the vicinity of the oven, hard to hear. I've put it on max but with very little improvement. That's the only negative (minor annoyance) I've discovered so far. Thus far, I've only used the oven once because the Microwave, although smaller than the oven, offers many oven capabilities and preheats more quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have only had this appliance about a month but we are very happy with it so far. The oven although the outer dimensions are the same as our old GE, the size and shape of the oven itself is larger by about 20 percent. It heat up to temperature quickly and cools down quickly when turned off. We have found that food cooks quicker in it compared to our old oven and we believe that the reason is that the cooking temperature is more accurate than our old oven. We are very happy with the oven. Like most people we use the convection microwave more than the oven and we have been happy with this part of the appliance as well. Since we have only had the combo a short time we have not had many opportunities to use the microwave as a convection oven but we are looking forward to doing so. We have identified a couple of things we don't like and that is what stopped me from giving the appliance 5 stars. First, the microwave is the upper appliance as expected but the door only opens from the top, not from the side like most microwave ovens. That makes it somewhat awkward to put food in as you have to reach a long way to get it on to the rotating plate. My wife and I are short and it is a stretch to put a plate of food into the appliance and then remove it after cooking. I keep a small step stool handy for that purpose. Second, the microwave came with a detail operational guide for its use. The oven did not. When I contacted Bosch I was told the oven's instruction manual is only available online as a PDF document so I had to print 40 pages in order to have a copy in the kitchen while we learned all the various functions of the new oven. Lastly, we have a concern that if one of the appliances needs to be replaced at some point we would be forced to replace both. Hopefully that won't happen.
I have two pieces of feedback on the microwave/convection oven (not the big oven component), installed in December, 2016. 1) Much to our (negative) surprise, there is no preprogrammed microwave setting to freshen up fresh baked goods -- slices of bread, or rolls, or muffins. When we were shopping for a new microwave, it never occurred to us that there wouldn't be such a setting, so we didn't check for it. This is a very basic function, provided by the 18 year old appliance which this one replaced. What a disappointment! 2) We have had a great deal of difficulty using the Sensor Cook feature. Specifically, the problem is with the setting for fresh vegetables. The problem is that our veggies are coming out VERY overcooked. They are consistently too "crispy" to eat. We already had a Service call, on January 19th, since I was sure that there was a calibration problem. But, no. The serviceman explained to us that the minimum weight for this category of food is 8 ounces. That represents too much food for two people! Seriously, half a pound of vegetables for two people? The nice thing about the single microwave/convection oven is that it should be easy to prepare small quantities of food. This limitation is not consistent with the way it is likely to be used. Overall, we are happy with the appliance, but your goal should be to delight your customers. We are not delighted.
The double oven looks great and that's the only good thing I can say. It was installed on 3/30/18. I used it for the first time on 4/1 and it was problematic. Number pad was stuck, oven shut itself off midway through cooking, then intermittently turned off and on. The control panel was extremely hot. Called Bosch on this 3 day old appliance on 4/2 and was told there was no one available to service a brand new install for at least two weeks and I might be better off getting an appliance company to service the oven and see if they would submit a warranty claim. I've owned this now for less than two weeks and it still does not work. Very disappointed.
We were thrilled with this oven at first and liked how it baked. However we do a fair amount of broiling. After a few months we noticed a large drip down the middle of the oven glass between the two panes of glass. We had it serviced under warranty and someone came out, dismantled the door and cleaned it. To reach the streaks the door had to be completely dismantled. We were told not to broil on the top rack. We used the lower racks and after another month of use we again have multiple streaks. We are talking to Bosch and so far they are telling us this is to be expected and is considered "normal." So we have a large sleek glass door covered with streaks and that is how the unit was "designed." Just want people to be warned when considering this unit.
