Before purchasing the Aegis Door Lock, I was unfamiliar with how a product like this would work, what its capabilities and features would be like, and the level of difficulty it would be to install. I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with my experience in all of these categories. I decided to use the Aegis on my front door. The installation was simple enough, just basic following instructions with the only tool needed being a screwdriver. Setting up the door lock was also very intuitive, once I downloaded the app and set up the gateway it was ready to test. I was happy to learn that a regular key still works the same as before and using the app to lock and unlock worked as expected. The auto lock feature is nice, with adjustable time before engaging. Another feature that has turned out to be my favorite was the auto lock and unlock. To see how responsive it was, I tested this feature by driving around the block in my neighborhood. At first, the Aegis didn't register me as I was leaving my house but after driving a bit further away the Bosma app notified me that my front door had locked. I was curious to see how close to home I would need to be to get the door to unlock, and was pleasantly surprised that it stayed locked while I was in the driveway, but unlocked immediately upon approaching the door. Very cool feature! Another feature I liked was being able to share an electronic key with guests. They didn't need to download the app and it worked as advertised. The guest access feature also allowed me to grant access for a specified timeframe which was very useful. The only minor problem I've experienced so far is a communication issue between the Aegis and the gateway. My other devices were still connected so it wasn't due to my wireless router. However, after unplugging the gateway and plugging it back in, the functionality returned no problem. So far this has been an isolated incident. Overall I am very pleased with the this product and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to enhance their home's security and convenience.
Highest rated block by Consumer Reports at a reasonable price
I bought this lock because it was rated the number one smart door lock by Consumer Reports. I did a lot of research before purchasing. This is the best value retrofit lock with more advanced features that I can find on the market. Their installation videos were straightforward. I am not very tech savvy, but I was able to set it up in about five minutes. I really like the feature that allows me to lock and unlock the door from my smartphone. I don't need to rush downstairs to unlock the door for my kids when they arrive home from school. It is also very convenient to lock the door with my Echo Dot. I am happy with this purchase!

Purchased these items from Bosma to install their automated lock and keypad. The installation process was seamless and straight forward. My wife and daughters love the features without using their keys to unlock our door and are able to unlock it from their phones!
This smart lock fulfilled all my requirements which I was expecting. Easy to install and calibrate with the help of Bosma app, key less entry and locking door mechanism with the help of gateway plug. I love Auto lock and unlock features. Solid construction and great looking smart lock Over all very easy to install. Great product 👍

Did not sync and company did not answer the phone on 2 separate weekday attempts during business hours according to paperwork that came with their product. Return!
Lock would not calibrate and tech support is nonexistent on phone. You have to wait 24 hours for email response. Tech support emailed twice and I was still having problems and they stopped responding to my last two emails.
