This little thing is awesome, small and convenient, but its pretty strong both in the magnet and the vent grip. If you use any of the schoche magnetic mounts this one is way better and way cheaper and has a better hold and stability on the vent mount than the standard rubber squeeze grip that fails in a week this one clamps on woth a rubber grip with very good holding power.
This magnetic phone holder really surprised me! I was tired of buying constantly the regular suction cup holders for your phone on the dash while you're driving. With this one it's magnetic and it has a clip that I attach to my ac vent. Very convenient and I love the look of this style better. Highly recommend and at a valuable price.
I have tried a few different vent mounts, and this is the best I have come across. It seems very strong (no slipping down) and does truly work on vertical and horizontal vents. I slipped the magnet inside my thinner phone case and I didn't even need to officially attach, which means I can move it to a future phone. I will be buying more of these as gifts for family and friends!
I'm pleadantly surprised how good this product is. The magnet is strong enough that it grips the phone thru the roughest terrain. Its sleek, practical and affordable. The one downside is that because of the design, it does block a bit of the air from the grill. Not enough to be a deal killer. I recommend this product.
Bought this to use in my hostage room so that the hostages could watch some videos on an old iPhone. I clipped it to some hooks I had in the walls there but the hostage's constant thrashing knocked it off the hooks.I decided to use it in my car to hold my phone and clipped it to one of the vents and it works great. Not nearly as much thrashing going on in my car so it is FAR less likely to get knocked off the vent. Simple and works great for intended purpose, which is cars, NOT hostage rooms.
Grabbed this right before a long driving trip and it did the job it needed to. The only thing I didn't like was it would easily slide off the vent while trying to just grab your phone from the magnet because the magnets are strong but it does keep the phone in place while you're driving. I also like that I didn't have to use any adhesive on my dash and this is easily removable.n
Does its job fairly well. Just had a few times where the magnet failed when turning hard or the clip fell off while driving. I had to jam it in the pretty good to get it to finally stay. Unfortunately I believe I have slightly damaged my vent as a result.
Because I am extremely short and drive a large vehicle having one on the dashboard or the even the windshield would have been too difficult for me to see. I appreciate that this clips on to an air vent. I will say the magnet is very strong. I've not had it fall off once the issue I have is that when I pull it off to go in the house or somewhere it takes the entire unit with it. I've discovered if you drag slightly upward when you pull back it stops it from staying stuck together.
Easy to install. Can be installed with the magnet pointing up or down. Magnet is strong, I don't have any problems with my phone moving when I hit a pothole or unexpected bump in the road. Great value for the cost.
Good for the car, good magnet, but I have not been on a long trip yet with this mount... The magnet does not work with Apple iPhone 12 from a MagSafe standpoint. Be sure to use the included magnet within the packaging in the box. Please let me know your experience!
