I like the design of this. Fits in a turn of the century house. I wanted to order more from them for other rooms in my house but would they come as this item did with a big scratch,gouge down one side which had chipped off the finish. The plastic bag it was in,out of the shipping box was not damaged in any way so I was wondering how this could have happened.What kind of quality controls does the product manufacturing company have. (???????) I noticed,although the item description says "wood" it is not wood but a type of material made to resemble wood. It looks like darkly stained wood.
