Practical not the next best thing in groom care.
This item helps me trim specific areas of my beard. It can be a bit rough on the sensitive skin parts but it does a nice job of precision trimming. I think it has a nice look and feel too. There are guards included that allow you to trim certain parts of your hair to a specific length. It is good for sideburns or the back of the neck too. It is not too loud so you can use it and not wake others up.
The only problem i have with this product is the on/off switch doesn't seem to work all the time....
For those times when I leave my beard longer, this trimmer becomes very handy. Also if you are on the road, you don't need to carry all your shaving tools with you, just the trimmer. Size is compact and easy to clean. However, when my beard was short and I needed to trim only my sideburns, the trimmer didn't seem to have power to cut it to my satisfaction. Overall good product for longer facial hair and travel.
Very easy to use. Very sharp for carving and reaching tight spots. Comb/guards are good for trimming but will take a longer time than a bigger shaver/trimmer. Best value for money spent.
I bought this product for my son when he turned 16. He has been using it for two years and I am now replacing it with a new one. The complaint that he has is the same... It seems to cut out/stop in the middle of use. However, this has proven to be a good fit for him as a beginner. Highly recommend for teens. Great for a travel kit!
For the price this is a great value at $10. Else where it was selling for $17 to $24. The quality is just okay. This is my second one. The first one only lasted one year before it stopped working.
very cheap.. great for Very light trimming
This trimmer never cuts through the hairs; it grabs them and pulls (very painful!). I spent 50 minutes trying different techniques to get it to trim but to no avail. It will not trim my facial hair at all, not a single strand. The blades appear to stop oscillating when they make contact with hair. Incredibly frustrating device.
Three seconds after flipping the on switch, the trimmer stopped working. The vibrations unseated the battery from its flimsy housing. I fiddled with the battery and got it to function, once again. Thoroughly unimpressed by the cacophonous buzzing, I put the trimmer to the test. It failed miserably. It barely cut facial hair, maybe a single hair or two as it wrenched and pulled all the other hairs along the way. It did only slightly better with fine body hair but still pulled painfully. This contraption is a piece of garbage.
