It's ok -easy enough to use. I was expecting something different in texture and firmness of the ice cream I suppose. I've made about 6 quarts now - the ice cream tastes good, but the hardness settings do not seem to make much difference; ice cream still needs to go to freezer to finish. I wouldn't buy it again just for this feature. It makes a horrible knocking rubbing sound towards the end of the cycle; other reviews read referenced this, and it's true. Seems to be due to an undersized motor. I scaled down the recipes to avoid this stress on motor, or the stirring piece, but it hasn't helped.
