76lb German Shepherd female eats these like candy, takes 7-8 per day. Her coat is in excellent condition all year round without excessive shedding saving me from having to vacuum all the time. German Shepherds have 7 thermal layers of fur which protect them from the cold in the winter and also from the heat in the summer. Of course a teaspoon of olive oil in their food once a day helps give them that teddy bear soft glistening fur that kids love to squeeze and hug so much, so do I. We wash her Teddy Bears in Snuggely so they are as soft as her.
as with anything you put into your dog's body or expose them to remember there is always the risk of allergies. Yeast, including brewers yeast can be dangerous to dogs who have an allergy to it. If your dog has a reaction to something, discontinue use immediately and talk to your vet. These tabs work great for me and my dogs (two pets and one service dog in training) as I'm allergic to topical flea medications and so we take the natural route. If your dog is allergic to brewers yeast you can also use regular garlic cloves and some other natural remedies to curb fleas.
I was searching all over stores and the internet for a good and effective, but natural, way to prevent fleas on our dogs and cats. I had read that garlic tablets help prevent fleas and misquitos from annoying pets, because it makes their skin have an unpleasant odor to insects, but humans can't smell it. I did a lot of research on the garlic tablets, and decided to try these. We have a german shepherd, so I have to give him 5 tablets a day (1 per 10lbs of body weight). I started out only giving him a few, so that he wouldn't get sick and so his body could build up to them. These tablets work great! Ever since I started giving them to him, and along with regular bi-weekly baths, I haven't found a single flea on my dog. And he's outside about 99% of the time. I also give them to our cats and our 6 week old puppy. They will eat them right up. These tablets aren't for all dogs, but I highly recommend them.
Love the way it works. I have 4 dogs so it's affordable. I saw the difference right away. I have small dogs so I crush the pill into their food and they eat it. haven't seen a whole a lot of fleas.
I have been giving this product to my minature poodle for years. I use to buy it at Walmart, but now they do not carry it in the stores anymore. My dog has never had any fleas & it is great for her skin & coat too. I have told so many people about this & now they cannot be without it either. I would recommend this product very highly. It really works. It is the best thing out there & it is all natural. Please try it, you will not be sorry that you did!!!
I read the dosage on the bottle, it says 1 pill for every 20 pounds. My dog is only 10 to 12 pounds so I cut the pill in half. She has almost stopped scratching. In my opinion, it's a great value.
So far so good, I understand it takes about 3 months to clear up dry skin, and itchy fleas away. I have large dogs, it's not to hard for them to eat the biscuits, and not to hard on me feeding them.
My dog refused to eat the pill by itself, so I had to buy pill pouch treats in order for her to swallow them. Maybe my dog is too picky. Overall, it has worked wonderfully because she no longer gets itchy skin due to fleas or ticks. I would recommend it.
My dogs coats look good but not so sure it works all that well for fleas. Would recommend it for effects of their skin and their coats but not for flea prevention.
Sorry but it is too soon to tell. I will do another review in a week or so. I called the 800 # on the bottle and they said it is safe for my cat too. Just break it up according to the animals weight. My do has stopped scratching and I have only seen one flea on her but I am planning to use the Brewer's Yeast along with Frontline Plus as soon as I can afford some. We will see.
