My son received this as a gift. I have tried to get him to play with it many many times. He has absolutely no interest. He does have a lot of toys, and I have seen him play with every one of them except this one. I don't know what it is exactly. Seems quite boring I guess. It does have the little vibrating bee attached to the tummy. I have a nephew who is 4 months old, I tried to play with this toy with him too. Hoping maybe one of the babes would like it. No interest there either.
I bought this for my daughter, who was almost 5 months old at the time. The idea behind it is nice. It's bright, it's soft, and it captured her attention. Unfortunately, the part that you pull stopped working after about the 3rd time we pulled it. It wasn't pulled hard, but it just does not work anymore. Had I known that was going to happen, I wouldn't have bought the thing. $9.00 is too much for this toy.
We purchased this toy when my child was 3 months old, still have it around now that she is 8 months and it has never held her attention for more than 5 minutes at a time. I think she has only played with it maybe 3 or 4 times. The little bee is not easy for her to pull by herself and when we pull it, it goes back really fast, she doesn't even have time to notice it moved at all! I wish I would have returned it. Definitely not worth $10.
When the bee was (gently) pulled out, it never went back in, just stopped working. It was after Christmas and we had already thrown out the packing materials. It's cute enough, so we will keep it and use it - as JUST a plush toy. Not sure if ours was unusual or this is a common problem with this particular toy. It wasn't abused or used incorrectly. We have plenty of toys which DO take lots of rough activity and don't stop working, the first time out of the package.
