Very happy with this brush. Comfortable grip, bristles seem well-constructed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a vegan this is a super exciting product to have!!
In all honesty, I personally think that this is the best brush that I've used to detangle my 3b-3c curly hair! It works great to detangle, and leaves my hair soft and manageable. - I've tried many other brushes and they did not perform as well as this one! Definitely give it a try! Very Good!
*Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary of Briogeo* I use this brush once I get out of the shower when my hair is wet. The bristles easily glide through my hair and detangles without any pain. This brush isn't too different from most products, but it is very sturdy and the color is nice!
I bought this brush based on an article comparing it to another famous boar bristle brush. I bought 3 of them, since I felt confident, loved the color, and wanted to have them as small presents. The quality control on these is bad. Some of the brushes had bristles where the blunt plastic tips were fused together. The plastic tips on the bristles varied greatly in how they were coated - some were blunted by bigger globs of black plastic, some were bare or lightly coated so they were sharp. It's just not great, but the fused bristles were the ones that affected functionality. I love the color of the brushes - they are even cuter in person. I'm not happy with the bristle quality and would have returned all three if I wasn't busy.
This brush is good quality but I can not get rid of the static it leaves in my hair. I have other brushes that don't give me static. I have tried static guard and dryer sheets. Most recently rewashed it snd soaked it in conditioner. I like the brush but can't use it. Maybe this summer I can use it.
I loved this brush at the beginning. It was soft on the scalp and brushed my thick hair out really well, and before I knew it I couldn't use it anymore. Echoing everyone else's comments on how it scratches their hair. I'm not sure how fast it deteriorated but it's unusable within 2 years. I wish it would stay as it was at the beginning :(
I've had this brush for a year and I don't use it. The static is crazy with this one and you have to be extremely deliberate with your brushing. If you accidentally catch the wrong strand of hair, it will make tangles 10x worse. Mine started collecting these little pieces of dust/fuzzies almost immediately, and I cannot clean them out no matter how hard I try. I've even gone in with a toothpick to individually pick at the bristles with no luck. I don't know if there is some stuffing inside the brush that is slowly being pushed out or what, but it's slowly being coated in the oils of my hair which makes brushing less effective for me.
I had high hopes for this brush but I was disappointed. The bristles sink in to the rubber pad and there is no way to pull them out, the plastic balls covering the bristle ends fall off and there is no way to clean the brush, or even to really remove dead hair easily.
I only had the brush for a few months and the tiny balls on the ends of the bristles started to fall off. I could no longer use the brush because it became very rough and sore on my scalp.
