It's a great water pitcher. It drains chlorine and all the nasty stuff you don't want to taste. It drains quickly. It lasts a long time too, I don't know how long I've been using mine. How often you have to change the filter depends on which filter get.
We really like our Bita pitcher. It's not too big that it takes up a lot of room in the fridge, but still big enough that you don't have to refill it all the time.
We have had a Brita pitcher since around 2005. The only reason we bought a new one was that the old one was dropped and broken. The 10 cup pitcher is an improvement on the old, it is larger and also fits better in the fridge due to its slim design. I also love that it uses the same filters as our old pitcher. We love the water that is filtered and would recommend this product to anyone.
We have lake Michigan water, so I didn't think the Brita pitcher would make much difference, but it truly makes a BIG difference!
This 10-cup size serves our family very well. So easy to maintain a fresh water supply for drinking. Excellent filter for treated tap or other safe water source. Not for use with untreated water as it is not designed for removing water-borne bacteria.
I realized after living in Ga that I was not getting enough water intake as I am use to. I just couldn't drink the water here, unless it was filtered. So I would only drink water when I was working. Since I made this purchase, I am drinking water at home. This was a good purchase for me, and I am very happy with it.
I ordered this Brita from Walmart.com to replace one that was about 15 years old and got cracked. I was surprised that it was much larger than my old one. Being bigger means that it holds more water but also makes it heavier for me. I decided to just not fill it to the top so that I don't have a problem with it.
You can't see it working or know it's working since it's water. So I only assume it is. If so, then So Far So Good! It's saving me a lot of money from purchasing bottled water for my household. That's why I give it a '5'.
It was recommended by a friend. I love it! Now the water tastes good. The only negative point is the part where water comes out in the front is not covered they should improve this.
Without a lid over the spout as other models have....the 'filtered' water can collect dust, particles, etc. So....back to the store it went....and worth paying another $5.00 for the same model but with the flip up lid as my 7 year old Brita pitcher had!
