Fits perfectly - works like a charm. Was difficult to attach outside exhaust pipe and the directions gave no help.
Nice contemporary design with good stove top lighting
This hood is very attractive and goes perfectly with my other stainless steel appliances. The fan has two speeds and has been very effective in my small kitchen. The lights are bright but were a little difficult to install and had to ask a neighbor for assistance.
It is a great fan and light combination. I found 50 watt led to fit and now only use 8 watts for both lights.
looks great, works greats and it comes with its own mounting brackets that make mounting easy.
I upgraded and so glad I did-- I did not have a vent to the outside, now I do and this is a huge difference --no smoke in the house or grease
The product is well built and it is fairly quiet when in use. The only change I would like to see is in the lighting. To me, it is archaic, in this time, to create a product without LED lighting. The standard bulbs for this product burn very hot, and the socket is such that it is not easy to find LED bulbs that fit. I would have given the product a 5 if the vendor had supplied two LED bulbs that fit.
The Broan range hood arrived in about 3 days. No damages. Hood looks good.I hoped lights were included but were not. Also was disappointed that you had to put in lamps with a suction cup! Why can't we have the new LED bulbs with screw in bulbs that are simple?
The most serious engineering flaw with the Broan range hood is the placement of the halogen lamps at the front underside of the hood. I personally observed steam, smoke and cooking odors when cooking on the front burners being drawn directly to the lights from the heat produced by the lamps. Even when the exhaust fan is running at high speed, it only draws a portion of the steam, smoke and odors up through the exhaust. I believe placing the lamps near the rear underside of the hood would allow the exhaust to run more efficiently and effectively. An optional metal back splash would also add more style and a more useful tool for utensils.
This range hood produces no suction, it looks nice, but does not do its job at all. I installed it, but have nothing but disappointment with that product. The range has a huge fan, which is supposed to produce plenty of suction, but the problem is that the duct opening for the air to go out is rather small and is shifted away from the center of the fan. As a result, most of the air moved by the fan just "hits a wall", and only a small portion of it goes out to the duct (and just in case there is a question about that - the backflow damper is moving freely and is not at fault).
