Purchased this typewriter to replace an old Brother word processor. I have found this to do the same operations the processor did. I am a Custom Knifemaker and use the typewriter to make stencils to be electrochemicaly etched on the knife blade. Works great.
I bought this typewriter for my Mom, since she's old school and does not use a computer. She loves it, there's a lot of different things you can do on it. Would definitely recommend for someone that does not wish to use a computer.
this would be the one to purchase. Shipped fast and direct without a hassle. Set up was very easy to do and operation of the typewriter is easy as well. Brother has always been an excellent name in the business and I am happy that if I had to have a typewriter that Brother is still there.
This typewirter is very useful in my business when completing forms that are not condusive for form completion via a computer. In many instances, Typewriters are the only item that can be used.
This item is very useful in filling out medical forms. I enjoy the correction function, I just have to get the margin settings done and it will be perfect for me.
This typewriter is exactly what I have been looking for to writer business letters, personal letters and filling out financial and medical forms. There are no bells and whistles to distract you and the white out correct feature can be a God-send at times! You won't be disappointed with this purchase!
I bought this for someone else & this, apparently, made it through 3-shippers in just its regular retail box. It does everything a very old basic typewriter should do. Definitely get the SK100 Starter Kit for the Script daisywheel, as Brother doesn't sell it separately. However, I'm still amazed this device hasn't been vastly compacted, simplified & improved with the old technology needed to do so being incredibly inexpensive & reliable...I'll be pitching some truly revolutionary ideas to Brother.
I like to write and with this I don't have to stay in front of the monitor. Is my second brother; firsty was 15 years ago, was very good. I hope this will be the same.
This was the second one of these purchased. The first one broke within a month of very limited use. It was returned and the new one was broke when we took it out of the box. The problem is the paper feed it does not hold the paper on the roll in order to hold the paper and allow the manual or auto paper feed to work. Don't waste your money!
I received a used/returned item. The ribbon cartridge was out of the machine and the ribbon was actually pulled out of the case. There were several loose and rattling around parts in the box. This item should have never been shipped out to a customer.
