I was able to use this quickly once I unpacked the box. Auto threader works well. I have downloaded designs from internet providers and also from ibroidery without issue. I am primarily a quilter and have made a quilt and several t-shirts. This is my first embroidery machine and I love it!
This is a great embroidery machine! It doesn't have any sewing capabilities but that's okay because it's easy to pair with a sewing machine. The two things that put it over the top for me are the large hoop size (6x10)- it's much bigger than the standard 5x7 hoop that typically comes with this level of embroidery machine. And it cuts jump stitches! Jump stitches are those long trails of thread that travel from one side of the design to the other and have to be manually trimmed by the user. With this machine, you don't have to trim threads and this is a great time saver. Honestly, it just makes stitching from start to finish so much faster, easier and cleaner. Brother has compensated me for leaving this review, but I have provided my honest opinion about this machine and its features.
This is a wonderful machine! We are newbies to embroidery. We first got the 435 smaller machine with Disney designs on board. The hoop was only 4 X4 and was great to get started. We got totally hooked on embroidery and wanted larger hoops, auto jump thread cutting, WIFI transfer, and a host of other cool features. This fit the bill and works flawlessly. It was well worth the investment. I'm running out of clothes to "draw" on... lol. Anyone want a 435 to get started?
I am having so much fun with this machine. I have made so many things from change purses to birthday shirts. This is definitely user friendly and beginner friendly. Amazing
I love this machine. After years of wanting an embroidery machine I finally broke down and bought the NQ1700E. I have several other Brother machines so trusted the Brother name. I was concerned as a first time user that I would have a tough learning curve but it is extremely easy to learn. It creates beautiful designs! My first design was a collar for a dress and I couldn't have been happier with the way it came out. It is the same across a heavy fleece blanket down to a fine batiste.
The wireless capability of this machine makes it way above its competitors. I have been using Brother embroidery/ sewing machine combos since the mid 1990s. Sadly my ULT2001 finally wore out - after many millions of stitches - I began looking for a stand alone machine to replace it - while this machine doesn't have all the bells and whistles of my Quattro - it has plenty of high end features. It is very user friendly and a joy to use.
This is a great machine, especially for the price. I upgraded to the NQ1700E from the SE1900, which i also loved. The 6 x 10 hoop, the jump thread cutter and the larger display are game changers. I also love the WiFi/USB option and the foot lever button. My only critic would be that the machine is noisier than my previous machine.
Machine agréable à utiliser et quand même facile d'apprentissage. Il devrait par contre être possible d'agrandir les images à l'écran, particulièrement les fichiers sur clef USB. Il manque aussi l'option de retour en arrière sur les dessins sans devoir recommencer à chaque fois au début. Une option pour faciliter l'exécution d'écussons serait également apprécié.
very unhappy with this machine. i would not buy it again
I was beyond myself when I got this machine for Christmas. However my heartbreak in just two weeks has me speechless. I didnt have it out of the box a day when the files I moved started to have this error. I messaged sellers and complained and they all desperately tried to help me until I found others with the same issue on youtube. Come to find out several people are having the same issue and it wasnt any fault of creators. Within a week the machine started to tell me every file needed a larger embroidery frame and the only way to bypass this was to add a period in the file and just not stitch it. The computer issue breaks my heart because I am in love with every inch of this machine. Please Please fix this software issue!!!! I would love considering buying another once the bugs are worked out.
